Ridgeflyer 32 one day I’ll have some 4 channel helis on the channel and then I’ll be able to fly a little better outdoors. That on and off light switch is the greatest feature on this heli, hands down haha.

D M holding up does nothing. I tried it. One trick I have done to these 3.5 channel helis is I have taken a four blade quadcopter propeller and put it on the tail rotor and it does give it a little more push and gives it a little more speed.

Ian Golsby I hate infrared. It limits you to indoors only. I love the 2.4ghz too. For these helis though indoor flight is the better flight experience. Outdoors just isn’t a good flying experience. This one did fly better than all the others I had on the channel this month.

@@ReadytoRunRC I've noticed all the cheaper drones I've ever flown are typically indoor, even bigger ones. My mavic and my freestyle kwad are both heavier (and mavic has gps and crap) so they can handle it much more nicely.

@@ReadytoRunRC Also, the helis this month are the first time I've ever heard of infrared control for flying objects. Never seen anything but wifi-type signal. Is it as touchy as a tv remote? That's kinda scary to be honest haha

Ian Golsby infrared has been around for helis for quite some time now. It is easily interfered with by other infrared signals and also by UV light so that’s why they recommend flying indoors but if you have enough sunlight coming through a window it could also make your heli not work right or not work at all. Sometimes if I fly outside I fly after sunset cause there’s much less UV interference and the heli flies pretty good.

@@ReadytoRunRC jeez that's rough. Is it mainly a heli thing? That might be part of why I've never seen it. I've never done any rc other than quadcopters
