Somebody was an evil toad to let such a cool & rare car rot like that! It's a shame for sure! On the bright side any part you need for these is available so as long as it's done right it can be a first class car again! I hope you show the transformation in future videos!

I gave a lady my number about 22 years ago, she has a white 73 Trans Am SD 455. I met her on my UPS route. She still has the car, she is the original owner. The amount of cars I see in pole barns and tucked away in people's garages is unbelievable. If you want to know where the cars are hidden ask a UPS guy.

Had to do a quick Google search because for some reason in all my years of dabbling in Camaro history I never stumbled across RS Z/28's. Crazy. My dad has two Z/28's he bought in the early 70's. He had three for a while but sold the third one to his buddy who traded it for a C3 corvette and some cash. I ended up with the Vette by crazy coincidence almost 20 years later. Anyways, cool Camaro.

Parked since 75. These cars had a 5 year/50,000 mile warranty. Even racing it, I would have thought they would try to get a new engine under warranty before the time was up. LOTS of cars were done that way.

The car like many was a family heirloom and always had dreams of getting it back on the road but never did. It's not hard to slap some wheels and tires on a car sitting in your shed and the car was said to have sat outside the front of the house for many years also it was also covered my ash when mount st.helens erupted.

@@streamlinebuilds1490 Well, when I was a kid, about 18 years old I bought a 1969 Z-28 brand new. Right off the showroom floor. Gold with black stripes. Had the dealer install the special off- road cam, and the special cross ram dual 4 set up that was available as a dealer install only. Changed the rear end gears to 4:11's and this car was absolutely the terror of my local town of Eugene, Oregon. Those were the days!! Now you have some idea of how friggin old I am. LOL!!

@stephenberetsel39052 ай бұрын
So what your sayin by stating that it has a DZ alternator is that a Dual Package ordered car in this case Z28/RS, Is a Z28 with a RS Trim/Interior/Hide Away package added. So only 302 4sp 12bolt drivetrain and handling package, Never Air, Never any other drive train options. That it wouldn't/couldn't be a RS 350 Turbo, W Air and a Z28 handling package. I was never sure what package dominated, as also with the RS/SS. In the sellers story, How do you go from being "King Of The Streets" to RnR a 307/350 2Brl Engine and sayin "GOOD Enough"? If that was the EGO message you n your car were puttin out, IT Never would have happened. It would have parked in 75 with a Windowed block before that RnR happened. I'd buy the car but he could keep the story.
@streamlinebuilds14902 ай бұрын
Yeah I'm unsure exactly why the 307 was installed doesn't make sense other than he had told me 20yrs ago that his son was to inherit the car and possibly they wanted to take it easy with a low power motor to begin with which makes a lot of sense
