I've had various great Laney products over the years and recently bought a 1999 LC30 II, which is possibly the best amp I've ever owned, so I'd say they've _always_ been killing it!

The clean at the beginning and then the tone of the boost remind me a lot of Montrose’s Music From Here album. Ronnie liked using solid state gear and I bet he’d be using this pedal if he were still with us.

Just bought one. The one he used at the guitarguitar demo show lol sounds exactly like a really great valve amp. Made in the UK! So easy to use. Just plug in and play Phys it cleans up just like a valve amp. Very impressed. I played through it then had to go back and buy it. The only thing i would change is a separate control for reverb trail length and have the psu inside the pedal. Amazing clean: bouncy and full of life and really juicy dynamic overdrive.

Great demo and very interesting pedal! Liking the new Ibanez as well! Question would it be able to use this pedal as follows. I am looking for a somehow affordable solution to play over monitors and the speaker at the same time. I do like to crank it up quite high while using IR’s with my monitors. Problem now is with my Suhr Reactive load that the speaker out is not attenuated and way too loud. Would this pedal be able to this? Similar like the Boss Tube expander can do?

Tom is possibly one of the UK's best guitarists that somehow always seems to fly just under the radar when some of his less talented contemporaries seem to get all the recognition..baffling...

He's well known as the "legato guy" (amongst guitarists at least) and I think that his style is probably too Jazz-influenced for most listeners. Someone like Chris Buck who has a more accessible Blues style is always going to have the larger audience but I don't know anyone who doesn't speak of Tom with a respect bordering on reverence.

great demo Tom as always! I wanted to power this from my pedal board power supply. I couldn't find any power supply that provides 24V 2.5A. How are you powering up the pedal? Are you using its own power supply?

*Ok **#Tom**, so if I wanted to run that pedal through into a Torpedo CAB, via a Voodoo Labs GCX, could I use a -20 or -30db attenuator device, or would I actually have o use a LOAD BOX; consider that it the Lion Heart is an actual Amplifier? Is it necessary to run from the speaker out in order to get the FULL AMP TONE when using a device like the Torpedo CAB?* ...Also I want to know your honest opinion of the CLEAN TONE between the LION HEART PEDAL and the Two Notes REvolt. ...#cheers

Putting IR's on this (only on the XLR direct out?), aux in and a headphone output, was a good idea. The midi implementation is very useful for those who use it, and a great addition for such a pedal amp! And still, it's just a no nonsense amp in a pedal format. I could really get behind this product, rather than doing modellers.

Was browsing for amps (Fender, Marshall...) and bumped into Laney. Well do know that a band called Black Sabbath used Laney gear 🤠 The amp you're reviewing is not what I am looking for (though sounds fantastic!) the Cub 10 has my attention. Seriously surprized on the cleans came out of that amp...😮 My neighbours will also appreciate that I am looking for a small amp 😅 Nice video & playing.

Cool pedal and great video. I wish the demos had a little more rhythm guitar/riffs in them since most people would use such gear with strums and chords 90% of the time. Most gear sounds similar when soloing rapid notes.

It just sounds pretty much the same, however you set it. Is that harsh high end caused by stainless steel frets, or is it inherent in the amp/pedal.

Yep - you can either use the DI out or the Line out.

You'd use the XLR out of the LOUDPEDAL into the LFR's input. You'd then choose to either run the LFR without a cab emulation (in FRFR mode) and select an IR in the LOUDPEDAL. Or you could switch off the IRs from the LOUDPEDAL and use the LFR in one of its two cab emulation modes. Hope that helps!

Well it sounds good as a clean amp but so does Fender and Marshall Joel but when you go to the distortion inside there it's still transistor and you can tell But for a practice amp for that price Not bad but you still gotta buy a speaker now

UK Price please? I cant find anything on Laneys web site and their list of where to buy outlets is useless, one shops web site doesnt work and another only lists guitars on their web site. Its like they dont want to sell them.

0:03 Why is it that whenever people demonstrate these preamp pedals they always have the volume and/or the gain cranked up to all hell? I have the Ironheart pedal and I never set my volume past 9 or 10 o’clock because…I don’t need to. Let the speaker do the work.

Volume and gain knobs are not clocks. You set them where they need to be, not at a specific "time". Only gain can distort/overdrive/damage ect.... the signal. A volume control can't. A high gain, low volume setting will overdrive the signal. You don't want a clean sound. High volume, low gain is a clean signal with no distortion. Aside from that, there is so much variance in the equipment, the knobs end up where they end up. Settings will be different for everyone.

I do not understand. Isn't an impulse response a digital representation of an analog "sound". In my world it's digital and not analog. Why do you call the pedal/amp analog? Am I missing something? Still An amazing product.

Yes an IR is a digital snapshot of a cabinet but the pedal is totally analog but uses transistors instead of valves.
