The main data that they use to demonstrate that practices to change sexual orientation are dangerous is based on Blosnich's study that claims that measures of suicide go up when people with same-sex attraction go to counseling for that. The Blosnich study, however, failed to account for time; the people in his study who had gone to counseling actually had more suicidality before going to counseling. After counseling the measures of suicidality decreased. Dr. Sullins, our research associate, discovered this flaw in the Blosnish study.
