We get the same bad thunderstorms in Texas, especially in spring. It's really pretty scary knowing these bad storms can develop into tornado. In winter, we have to put up with the freezing weather or ice storm. I guess, anywhere you live, you will have to encounter unpredictable weather. Take care and be safe always!

Thypoon is common in the Philippines.Don't worry, just avoid live wires so not be electrecuted.

It’s important to know the seasons so that you guys can better plan your activities and travel here. Basically we only have two, rainy season (Jun-Nov) and dry season (Dec-May). Thunderstorms are common during the rainy season. You’ll be just fine if you don’t go out of your house during these storms. You guys take care and be safe always!!

Super Typhoon Mawar or Betty is still far in the Philippines, but there's a possibility to hit very near the north of the Philippines on Monday and enhance southwest monsoon affecting Southern Luzon including Metro Manila, expect the bad weather on weekend. 7 June 2013 Quezon City .... loudest thunderstorm I ever heard and heaviest rain I ever experienced. So many close lighting strikes and the sound of the rain on the roof just overpowered it. IT WAS INSANE!

Mawar hasn't officially entered PAR (Philippine Area of Responsibility) yet. it's set to enter tomorrow night and once it enters the PAR, it will be called Super Typhoon BETTY. it's not expected to make a landfall though but it can still greatly affect the country especially those in Northern Luzon. anything happen and it may change its course because it's so unpredictable that's why everybody is being warned of its effects and everybody is asked to prepare and take precautionary measures.

Wow, that is crazy! We had a couple of wild thunder storms pass for a couple days. They're quite spectacular here in the Salt Lake City valley - but not as insane as that! Ingat lang!

For the record, typhoon Mawar didn't land in the PAR (Philippine Area of Responsibility) yet. The typhoon will not be called Mawar once it reaches the Philippines. I think this will be the second (or maybe third?) typhoon to reach the PAR this year. So expect the name of the typhoon to start either in letter B or letter C depending if it's the second or third typhoon of the year.

We really hope and pray that this super typhoon will not landfall to the Philippines. And maybe you can put some headset to Onyx if he's afraid of thunderstorm and lightning make him listen to music,and just close your curtains para hindi sobrang nakakatakot sa mga kids na makita yung lightnings. That was just a thunderstorm and not yet the much awaited Manwar! Northern Luzon will feel the effects of Super Typhoon Manwar/Betty by Monday or Tuesday this coming week. Metro Manila & other parts of Luzon might also get some rain but hopefully, SuperTyphoon Manwar/Betty will weaken by then or not make landfall at all!🙏

Seems the storm path hits northern PH and it's a supertyphoon. It's the tail winds though, so it's mostly rain and thunderstorms. It's still better to be prepped and keep supplies filled just in case of power outages. Yolanda (2013) and Odette (2021) was a shitty experience to say the least. Hopefully, Mawar continues on its path and avoids the Philippines altogether. Keep safe guys!

Expect lots of typhoons or fewer during the country's rainy season, which lasts from the beginning of July to December. Hopefully this time there won't be an earthquake. When it's bad outside, be safe and remain indoors.

What u experoenced is just localized thurderstorm, typhoon mawar will arrive saturday morning, Kim said she still havent experienced being in a storm in the Philippines. Just to give u an idea of how it looks like being in a middle of a super typhoon, watch 8 miles from home video of last years typhoon odette they survived the eye of the storm in siargao. Itd the most viewed video in their channel.

Natural lang yan transitioning from the hot and dry season to the rainy months, madalas na yan lalo na sa hapon or early evening mawawala din kapag cool months or the ber months youre just fine andyan yung lola ng mga bata beterana na yan she knows about these things.

Guam was hit by the typhoon. It is just ordinary thunderstorms… no need for those kits.

That was just normal storm the stronger ones can take days of rains and beside lightning and thunder you'll be able to hear strong winds howling and whistling and surely flood in some areas.

That's normal in the Philippines.

In case of thunderstorm, stay indoor in your condominium. If you got caught outside, don't use your celphone as it invites lightning strike and try to get inside the nearest available building for protection.
