I love the Who, I love Elvis. I can't imagine the excitement of guys like Roger, Pete, Bob Dylan, Lennon and all those wonderful artists when they first saw Elvis - not the fat, fading Elvis but the young rebel Elvis, with all that energy and wonderful voice! It had to be the most liberating time of their lives.

In 2007, Roger was having problems with his voice. He had a surgery and now in 2017, he is better than ever. There is a accosting version of this song, with Pete and him on guitars, and is fantastic.

Zak Starkey learned how to play drums from Keith Moon. They were really close and he grew up calling him "Uncle Keith." I thank God everytime I watch one of these videos with Zak that he learned drums from Moonie and not from his dad, Ringo Starr.

I think it's very cool that younger fans are discovering them and keep the spirit of the Who nation thriving. I was kind of 2nd generation Who fan myself...I rode the wave of the mid-70's, post Who's Next era. The first time I saw them was in Michigan in '79, shortly after the 11 kids got trampled trying to get into the Cinncinati show. I saw them again in Michigan a couple of years later prior to moving to Denver. My only regret is not seeing the original band with Keith.

Roger's voice is actually stronger now than it was in 2007, since he had vocal cord surgery a few years back. I saw them on the tour in 2007 in Indy, and have also seen them in 2012, 2015, and this year (as well as many other shows from 1982 on). The 2012 tour and the current one have allowed him to really show off the good results of his surgery. I'm so glad he was able to come back after that nasty bout of viral meningitis last year. He is a rock n' roll warrior!

I love Roger's voice. It's so raw when it needs to be and tender when needed. He's an amazing, expressive singer.

Yeah...4 shows over the years: 96 when they did Quadrephinia, 2000, 2002 at Fiddler's Green, and then the '06 show...loved the 2000 show...that may have been the best.

Roger's voice is shot. Not just this song, but quite a bit in the last year. He sounds like hell.

I didn't know about the bronchitis. I know during a number of shows in the tour his voice didn't seem to be holding up. His range seemed really limited, and I assumed it was age catching up. Hopefully in future gigs he'll be back in form. Great show when I saw them in Denver...just saw the new DVD - Amazing Journey. Excellent.

that's because most music he writes doesn't have the guitar as a lead instrument, like in won't get fooled again, the guitar is kind of random improvisitation just to jam along with the rest of the song and fit in with the other instruments, it's kind of like a jazz guitar playing style but with less of a lead instrument thing going on, if he wanted to be a badass guitar god he could but that just wouldn't be a signature "who" sound, if that makes sense

Roger's range was always somewhat limited. Pete and John spent a great deal of time in the early years covering his ass with backing vocals, because although he was more powerful than either of them, his range just wasn't there. Pete's voice would've been too thin for lead vocals, though, and John's normal voice (when not doing falsettos or grunts) really wasn't that appealing.
