Reciting Surat Al-Falaq, Surat Al-Nas, and Surat Al-Ikhlas three times, then blowing on the hand three times and wiping the entire body three times, and reciting Ayat Al-Kursi and the end of Surat Al-Baqarah before sleeping, as the Messenger of Muhammad, may God bless him and grant him peace, commanded us. I use to get a lot of sleep paralysis. This is when you are asleep then out of nowhere, you can't move, can't talk, and when you try to move there's this heavy vibration feeling. So, I would experience this sleep paralysis, and I would hear awful ringing in the ears. Every time I try to talk, the more intense the vibration feeling and ringing in the ears. My body would be in the position of facing the ceiling. This happened at least 3x a month. Every time it happened, I would try my best to get out of it, which made it worse. Fast forward a year, with many sleep paralysis episodes, i analysed everything. My blood, hormonal, room temperature, any caffeine etc. Everything is perfect. Healthy and the doctors were confused. There was one episode of the sleep paralysis that I still remember unfortunately. It's a bit scary at the time, now I'm not scared at all. The scary episode was when I had this paralysis. Now, here's the scary part. There was a shadow, of a man with a twiggy beard, not that tall, but a a shadow right at the side of me. I can see him, he knows I'm looking at him and I can't say anything to remove him, nor can I move my body to escape. Worst episode ever. So what's my situation now? I get sleep paralysis, once every few months now. Fantastic! How? I went to my local imam and he explained to me, what I saw and what happened. Health professionals said i was fine. I'm glad, I thank Allah that gave me the courage to speak up, talk to health professionals and especially the imam for giving me the solution. The solution was to do zhikr (remembrance) throughout the day when I have time (like waiting in line, grabbing a coffee, transport etc), and pray ayatul Kursi. Ayatul Kursi recited onto my hands and rub my hands all over my body. This is called Ruqya, well a form of it. So now I recite Surah Fatiha, ayatul Kursi on to my hands and rub my body. I have not experienced the sleep paralysis episode, rarely, and no shadow figure is coming my way now. I don't know what happened and why this occured. So I asked the imam. The imam gave many reasons. He said, someone has cast evil. &eye on you. Then, if it's a woman jinn (and she can be Muslim or not), she may have fallen in love with me. This can be true, as I use to wear only underpants at home and in my room if I'm alone. I pray,.well.try to pray 5x a day on time, so the imam said, it could be the female jinn, encouraging me to be naked. Finally he said , that I stay away from girls as I'm single. I'd be a lot more comfortable, close if you know what I mean around girls. I'm a respectful gentleman, still a man though. The jinn are trying to get me closer and. commit haram so they watch me enjoying myself. This part scared me. I thank Allah that I don't receive any awful sleep paralysis, and if I do rarely, it's not intense and goes away quickly. 😢I used to have a lot of sleep paralysis and my brother suffered the worst but after I started doing regular namaz with adhkar not a single day I have got that and my brother is safe too.. It's not a joke I didn't invite but yet we all go through stuff.

i had to go to work one day before fajr by train. i got to the EMPTY train platform and remarked to myself at least im alone here. suddenly the lights went out, but they were still on. they didn't go dim, it just went pitch black dark and i could still see the light, but it was over there not shining here. and three figures came out of that darkness towards me. they wanted to harm me was my first instinct, they asked me what did i bring to offer them and what would i give. i smiled then in the darkness and low with my deepest voice slow as i could, i recited ayatul kursi. they fled as of on fire, as they ran from me screaming, the light came back in. the darkness just lifted. and i carried on standing there till my train came.

Personally, I have gone through sleep paralysis once and it was definitely a jin. I was in a half awake state just like the sheikh said and I had forgotten to recite my night prayers that specific day. I could clear see a dark shadow moving at the feet of my bed towards my head and all of a sudden a heavy pressure on my chest. It felt like hours of the pressure and not being able to move. No matter how much Quran I tried to recite, I couldn’t. It was one of the most scariest moment of my life. Since that day I have never forgotten to recite my night adkhar.

Ruqyah basically there are some verses in Quran especially we read for protection while going out ,before sleeping etc. And there are some prays we learn from hadiths we read like before going in toilet and when you out from there, when you passing pile of trash etc. Allah may protect us or may not, if there is a test, it will arrive hands of human or jinn or animal. It's like a binding your horse and leaving there, it may be stolen or escape while we are not there. We are responsible from what we can, for the rest of it we trust Allah

There are verses or chapters of Quran that expel the jinn from home. Like reciting surah al Zalzala 7 or 21 times. There are Verses that burn or kill the Jinn. There are Duas that make the Jinn run in a second. Depends on your dikhr. The same thing happened to me 2 times, I was sleeping at 6 pm, at that time I woke up suddenly, I feel someone walking near me, it looks like a dark shadow like a dark demon, I can't move my body. I try to move but I can't at that time I recited Surah Allahu Akbar with fear and after 2 or 3 minutes later that's gone from my room and i wakeup my mother always told me not to sleep between 5.30 pm and 7 pm. Sometime after 1am I was watching TV on the chair and suddenly I saw a snake move near my feet, I ran and put on the lamp and searched the room and it disappeared. Used to know this one guy who do this ghostbuster thing for a living. He asked me to drive him to some place 5 hours away because someone need his help there. While he was doing his thing there, the lady he was treating was talking in a male voice. But it could be something psychological, right? Freud already have hypothesis about this. I am the same person who told you I saw a Jinn/demon I also can guarantee you when you have sleep paralysis it's a demon that is causing it. I was drinking doing sinful things not praying at the time,, which opened me up to demonic attacks.
