Back in 2003 when I was in my school in Pune I used to admire the Reva (toy innocent) looks and used read about chetan maini. Then kept dreaming about EV. In 2014 i book athers when they were starting their start up. In 2019 converted a 2stroke Bajaj chetak into electric. 2022 jan got my ola S1. Next dream buy a Tata altroz EV.

The problem with indian company that they try to make huge profits with higher price ,but you look at this byd with 71 kwh battery vehicle and 520 real time mileage and 8year with 5 lakh km warranty for battery and far proven advanced technology fully imported ckd unit cost you only 29 lakh on road but indian tata nexon car with 34 kva battery and real-time mileage of 180 km and with only 8yr or 1.5 lakh km warranty on battery and with only upcoming tech cost you nearly 18 lakh with no import duty burden still high price why ?

I think because we not manufacture lithium cell. We just assemble the cell and make battery pack. Lithium cell mostly imported from China. China make its own lithium cell, may be that's reason for high cost. No doubt your point is also valid.

Currently BYD has over 400,000 orders to deliver in China and the number is ramping up every month. They simply don't have enough battery to build cars for oversea markets. Good news is several blade battery factories will be online in the coming months.

I think it's better to say kms per kwh, easy to calculate the total range and other stuff. It's analogous to kms per litre.

They need to reduce cost. Doesn’t feel good for a self driven use but it’s great for a chauffeur driven one. No auto dimming IRVM, single power mode, doesn’t accelerate like the ZS EV or the EV MAX

@@mviv6339 Introduced few years ago, But BYD has decades of battery manufacturing experience and their previous batteries have easly runned lakhs of Kms without much problem. Cost per kw of this battery is less then 1000$.

Wh/km and kWh /100 km is the exact same thing You require almost zero effort to convert it. And right now, only tata is choosing to use wh/km. Hyundai, mg and byd and other companies around the world choose to use kWh/100km or km/kWh Tata owners probably need to educate themselves if they can't convert basic number's

@@pantu3110 hey Sorry seems like u have misunderstood me I am an proud Indian and 90% of my house and its utilities are from indian companies But since no other indian ev car offers more than 400 km of range which is mandatory for me as I have travel atleast 160 kms a day I was searching for evs since past 6 months But many are out of budget and later this was the only option left for me That's what I was thinking
