Undoubtedly so. I remember being a young buck around like 7-8 years old. Turning on the TV on the documentary channel and waiting for river monsters to air out. This show was part of my childhood and I’ve rewatched it a lot of times

Just learned this past weekend on a documentary that Hippos are related to the dolphin family of species, but manatees are related to elephants. I was surprised!

HAHA love the video editing to make it look like hes in danger. look at the back ground of each hippo scene and you will see its in a river with vegetation around and then it goes back to him out in a lake no completely different area lololol

Those injuries mustve been atrocious at the time. I like how Jermemy directly translates dozens of languages/dialectics after only being there 2 days for filming. He must really have a knack😮

@@Kado1609 we looking at it from different angles. antiseptic treatments are healing technologies. Without such humans die in numbers as they did in the past. We don't heal as well as crocodiles do. Our advantage is medical knowledge

Steve Irwin famously refused to go near hippos, and Steve Irwin had no qualms about wrestling 6 meter salties. If someone as ballsy as Steve was afraid of hippos, everyone, even Jeremy Wade (a legend in his own right) would do well to stay away.

GET YOUR PADDLES READY TO BEAT!!! That dude with the romp with the croc, we didn't see his injury! I WAS SCREAMING THE ENTIRE VIDEO!
