please don't stop vlogging. im 21, no kids, no significant other. just focusing on my work and studying. your life is drastically different from mine and i find it so beautiful. sometimes i just feel like crying like from those moments when your little boy laughs when you talk to him omg makes my heart hurt at just how pure and wonderful that experience is. i'm sorry people haven't been that nice to you in the comments. no one is perfect, but i think you're pretty damn close like wow i hope im as well put together when im a mom. I originally found you through your cleaning vids like idk how long ago (i've been lurking a while) and now i feel like i found a new friend. you're so genuine in your videos, so please do keep vlogging.

don't say your sorry if your doing things wrong because first off nobody is perfect even if your not a first time mom, second, It's your prerogative to parent your child on what you feel is best, and nobody knows your child like you do so keep up the great work and thanks for letting us be a part of your journey

You should try to understand what your baby wants to tell you. Babies cry when they need something... so every cry or screem it means something uncomfortable for him

Now to see you as a momma, it makes my heart happy! You're doing wonderful!! GOOD FOR YOU IF YOU HAVE HELP!!! That's what family is for. In other countries multiple generations are all under one roof and all help out. Don't fret. You're brave enough to put your life our there so you're already a super hero in my opinion!!! Hugs!

I'm almost sorry to say that, but you're so adorable! Please don't get me wrong! I have two kids and four years of experience, so I'm naturally quite confident now. But now I just remember our first months with a newborn. I was so young at that time, and so insecure! I always saw you as a very self-confident person who is so organized, but now I see you more like a normal human being. Insecurities are completely natural! Every first time mom feels so unsure about everything! There are a couple of things you do that I would do completely differently, but that's okay! I've found my way, your figuring out yours. Every first child is kind of a human guinea pig. But they will all turn out completely fine as long as you listen to their needs (and keep yours in mind). You're doing great! Your confidence will grow as he grows up.

You guys are great parents, carter is so lucky to be born in your family! The only thing i find funny and what i see many americans do, is that the baby never lies flat, he is almost always in a seat! In germany the doctors and midwives tell us to minimize seat time as much as possible for healthy back and spine development. So we rarely use car seats in strollers and other devices! Were you told something different by your caretakers? All the best though, im sure carter is fine. Much love!

@k0rn0ndac0b 7 жыл бұрын
Honestly, we aren't told something different here to encourage it, but they don't put very much emphasis on making sure babies stay flat on their backs most of the time. I think it's simply because many moms -or at least, those who can afford it- like to buy swings and bouncers and loungers and etc because everyone makes them sound 100% necessary -when in reality, it's just kinda an easier/safer option when you're trying to do other things if they're in something where they can't roll away or get hurt or whatever. Also, many seats and items that hold babies have vibrations or music or rocking motions that keep babies soothed without mommy having to do anything much but strap them in and turn it on... so it's a tempting thing to do I guess for many people (especially if you're very busy or have other kids already).
@emiliana1767
@emiliana1767 7 жыл бұрын
yes i totally get the appeal of bouncers, we bought one ourselves at 2 weeks old, we just wanted all the help possible ;) but nontheless we always tried to let her in these things for just a few minutes, maybe half an hour, because here everybody is really emphasizing on having babies lay flat! on the living room she always layed on her play mat and in the kitchen we put the carry cot from the stroller so she could lay flat there. the older she got the more we used the baby björn, which was a great helper but we were very aware about her time in it. the car seat was honestly just used for car rides! i cant imagine what would be wrong with babies who are more often in seats, though, all the american kids seem fine :P as a first time parent you want to do everything right, so we tried our best to keep her out of seats. just curious that they are here very adamant about it and the US it seems very carefree.
@k0rn0ndac0b
@k0rn0ndac0b 7 жыл бұрын
Oh, I completely understand; I just wanted to answer your questions by stating that, yes, in the U.S. the healthcare providers simply don't put any really stress on keeping them out of seats and on their backs instead. Like you said, I don't think it actually makes a hugeee difference one way or another, so I figure that it's probably just best to make sure you just do what works for you and your own child and not stress too much -but also make sure they aren't ALWAYS strapped into something 24/7. :)

You are doing amazing! Don't let anyone make you feel like your a bad mom or that you're doing something so wrong that you'll ruin your child's life. Every mom has been that first time mom that didn't know what to do and asked for advice and went through trial and error. I have two boys, ages two years and 8 1/2 months old and I still ask for advice and go through trial and error. Every mom does things her own way and she shouldn't have to defend her reasonings for it! You're an amazing mother!

Zoily Fern hi, I have 3 kids the youngest being 3 weeks old and what has always worked for me for those baby poop stains is a mixture of baking soda, hydrogen peroxide and a little dish soap, make a paste from it and just use an old toothbrush to work the paste in on the stains, leave for a few minutes then toss in the wash. Gets the stains out everytime.

Okay why do I seriously feel like the same person as you??? Crazy thing is, I am having a baby boy soon too & I almost named him the exact same thing - Carter Grey! Which we NEVER thought anyone would come up w the middle name Grey. My husband didn't like Carter enough so we are naming him Ezra Grey! & every time you say something I want to respond as if I'm actually talking to you?? Haha that may be really strange to you but I relate to you SO much, I'm still pregnant now & followed you through your entire pregnancy & I loved it bc I felt like I really had someone to relate to. It made me feel so much better to know that I wasn't the only one w certain worries I had/have! Now that you have had Carter I have followed along & LOVE the videos you are posting bc even though I love watching your beauty videos I know that these hacks/advice type of videos I will actually use. Anyways, THANK YOU for all of your posts bc I actually use a lot of the hacks you show & you inspire me so much each time you make a new one! Please don't ever quit KZfaq bc you are so, so appreciated!

I understand how you feel. I was a 19-year-old mom taking my daughter shopping and when she was older (2, 3 and 4 years old) being prepared at any time to leave the store and go home if she "threw a fit". She was pretty good most of the time! My son was definitely "busier" and got into more mischief. He really kept me on my toes! They're grown now. It goes so fast. Enjoy every moment (it looks like you are)! Carter is adorable!

And OH MY GOSH😭😭 when your dad said "Youre filling the hole in my heart that I didn't even know what there," like the tears are real 😭😭 my father hasn't been the best dad, but during my late teen/early adult years he's been much more present. So I can only hope he will be as good a grandfather as your dad seems to be ❤️ all the love to your perfect little family!!!

I can relate to you so much, my sweet little baby boy was exactly the same. But this loud screaming only lasted for the first 3 months, now he doesn't even get upset anymore. And believe me, he's 1 now and when I spend half a day running errands and stuff with him alone I still feel like a superhero😌 You are dealing with motherhood so well! Much love to you and your sweet family❤️

Goodness Carter is so cute and such a happy baby! I love how he tries to talk to you when you say something to him. Your videos are great I enjoy watching them. I have a little guy too he's older than Carter and I find myself wondering where time has gone he was just a little guy and now he's 1. I can't wait to see Carter grow and go through the stages of crawling and walking. Beautiful family ❤

You seem like such a great person and I'm sure you are an awesome mom as well. It's really evident in your videos that you are doing the best you can for your little man, especially with getting him on a routine and sticking with it. You have such a beautiful home and I'm obsessed with how you have decorated and organized everything. I've been really enjoying your baby related videos and I don't even have any yet. I hope that I can do as great of a job when I have a baby as you do. Don't let people's comments bother you, if anything they are just jealous. I hope whenever you read this it gives you some encouragement and makes your day just a little brighter. :)

You are doing a beautiful job. I love seeing videos of your son. He is so cute and so attentive. It is really a pleasure to watch. Don't put so much pressure on yourself when you go out. Babies do cry and you are doing a wonderful job. You certainly look like you have it all together. I wish I looked that good when my son was 4 months, lol.

You are a wonderful Mom! It doesnt matter that you are a first time mom. You already know what you're doing. In your last Vlog i was so happy to see that carter was in his excersaucer already whereas most moms would be all freaky about it! It is so good for his back and neck muscles. I had my baby in it at 2 months and she is excelling in her muscle development. Trust your instincts! DO what works for you and Ryan and Carter. That's all that matters! Love you Brittany!
