I did that once on mt car when I was a teenager. I just wasn't paying enough attention and the flow was very poorly. Then I had to bite the bullet and buy a new one because thankfully I realized I can't just flip it back.

I had a customer pull the same thing saying it was backwards and just couldn't convince him he was mistaken. He also had a fit because the filter was not full of fuel .

I've fired customers before. Not something I like to do often, but sometimes you have no choice.

I have good compression on both cylinders, new pump, filter and carburetor and lines, still VERY little gas in filter. Tried with tank cap loosened, starts then dies as key is released.

Bless all mechanics. Common sense among their customer base is at a premium. You can’t just do maintenance and repairs, you are forced to try to teach the non-teachable.

I cannot find a fuel filter for my scag spz-52h-27sr anywhere. Can i use one from another manufacturer in ?

You should have told him to hook up a hose and pour a gallon of fuel down into the filter and flush it out onto the ground first.. Then he would have only lost some fuel and not had a comeback.

Hey, ran a shop for small engine's also, had a few mishaps myself. Those cheap China fuel filters were literally falling apart brand new? The glue that was used I'm assuming would just let-go as soon as the fuel would be run through them? They made me look bad a few times, to say the least? Have you run into this issue before?

I have had many
