@@equestriangirljesse4091 around where I live there is very many lupins. So before I brought my horse home, I did a bunch of research and found the seeds of lupins are extremely poisonous to horses, sheep, cows, and basically any livestock. I also asked some long time horse owners from around here and they said I had to get rid of the lupins from in my field, turns out they are extremely hard to get rid of. You have to dig them out and keep mowing them. It takes a few years to get rid of them. Anyway. The seeds aren't the only poisonous part of the plant, the flower and the leaves are poisonous too. Most horses will not eat them because they are sour but you should NEVER let them eat them. There's also many books and magazines I've read where lupins are a top number one plant not to let your horse have. If you'd like some sources let me know and I'll give you links and names of books, etc.
