Thanks for the lovely video as always x Med student fun fact: the touches are done in areas of the skin called dermatomes which each correspond to one spinal nerve, in order to help determine what level a spinal cord injury is at if present And the different types of touches are to determine which nerve tracts might be damaged (fine touch, pain, pressure, temp, etc are transmitted in separate tracts, so you could lose pain sensation in one area but still be able to feel pressure/light touch!) Loving all the examination vids lol. We just learned sensory exam in December.
