There is some confusion over the screen size of the XL model. The articles from 91mobiles say 6.5", but other publications are saying 6.7".

Very excited for this. Hopefully, this means the smaller Pro doesn't get "hardware limited" with features.

I question the screen sizes in this video. They don't make sense. I believe the XL will be 6.7 or 6.8 and 9 pro 6.3 and pixel 9 6.1. That makes more sense.

I hope they learned from the Fold, small phone screen sizes aren't dead! I hope like leak is true but they make the P9 under 6", P9P just over 6" and the XL can be the big boy at over 6.5" screen sizes. Start them at $699, $799 and $899, respectively. Then they can price the a series at $499 and still have room to have the previous main line phones at $549 and $649. At the top end you can price the Fold 2 higher than the highest capacity P9PXL (thinking $1k for 1TB version) but NOT starting at $1899, again! $1299? TBH I would love to see the a series under $400. Remember when Google was priced closer to midrange but killing it in the still photography segment before short form video social media really took off? Pepperidge.. you get the idea..

Here we are guessing what Google's strategy will be and I'm still not convinced they even know what it is either.

I've been hearing complaints about the pixel models and the expectations of AI features that should be dropped on said models. Because of the current 8 not getting nano even though the pro and the standard have the SAME chip inside, and the RAM argument is definitely questionable. IMO they should scrap the middle man. The standard 9 should not be a thing. My dream line up would be; - 9a (basic AI features) $399 - 9Pro (More advanced AI features, plus more of a focus on the pro model for future feature drops) $599 - 9ProPlus (exactly like the pro but bigger) $799 that should resolve a lot of confusion, in terms of what phone gets what feature I'm hoping Google does this or something similar for the 10

Im ready to trade in my p7 for a p9 Pro. And if the PFold2 has a near creaseles screen, I will probably trade my Open for it.

To me it would make the most sense to release four phones at once. Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro, Pixel 9 Pro XL, and Pixel 9 Fold I know that I didn't say Pixel Fold 2. I said Pixel 9 Fold. It should have the latest and greatest chip and camera just like the 9 Pro, and it should also fold.

The hopeful side of me is that they make the "A" cheaper, and the "Pro XL" slots in between the "Pro" and the "Fold" like this: 9 A - $450 9 - $700 9 Pro - $1000 9 Pro XL - $1300 Fold 2 - $1800 But I will not be surprised if there is no "A" and Google's cheapest "current generation" phone starts at $700.

Tbf, Google could just call the 'pixel 9' 6.03 the Pixel 8a or the Pixel 9a. Seems like they're just changing up the launch date/the design¯⁠\⁠_⁠(⁠ツ⁠)⁠_⁠/⁠¯Fun speculating tho

It's cool that they're expanding the pixel line of products. I hope the pricing of 9 pro is between the XL and regular 9 and that our doesn't move the XL up in price to over 1k

If they release an "a"series phone it'll probably go back down to about $350.00 - $450.00 with the G4, 8GB ram, 128GB storage. It's the only way the a series makes sense. As for the 9 an 9 pro/XL versions the regular 9 will have anywhere from 8 - 12GB ram with the Pros having anywhere from 12 - 16GB ram. This makes the most sense to me

So is the Pixel 9 Pro XL 6.5" or 6.7"? Shane, The Verge, and OnLeaks say it's the former, but Android Authority, which OnLeaks Retweeted, say it's the latter-which I hope is the case.

Pricing will be interesting, whatever the 8a will be will give a clue.

I really don't care what they do except that the XL should be a bit larger because they are all about the same size? Google seems like that don't know what the heck they are doing anymore.

How would i go with the pixel 9 line up ? , i dont know really. , but what i wouldnt do is call the big flagship model XL and then make it smaller than the previous year ! If a lot of people think like i do , and i think they do , a bigger display is a nice convenience for the eyeballs , and it allows phones to be more versatile in what they can offer the consumer. I actually like a lot about the sony flagship phones , except their terrible aspect ratio and screen size , and i have a sony alpha camera to boot , but screen size for me dictates a sony phone is off my shopping list . The pixel 8 pro just scraped in size wise for me , but the 9 pro XL if these dimensions are correct will like the sony models also off my shopping list. Maybe google thinks this will push some to foldables , im not a fan of foldables , so again no sale .

Never be a big fan of huge phones and having a sizable pro pixel sounds very good to me...

This good news because I don't want a big phone.

If I had to guess the 9 would probably have a 3x zoom with the pro having a 5x zoom

Good lord! I loved my Huawei Mate 20 x, with its 7.2" screen! I've literally prayed for another phone with the same screen size... . XL that's smaller than the 8 Pro screen? Bit silly really. They're just maxing profit.
