FINALLY!! 3 months and a video has been released. A not-so-serious review of Run8 Version 3. Enjoy the content, let me know what you thought of it!
DISCLAIMER: Wife thinks saying I'm dumb in the video is implying that someone else without my railroad knowledge is dumb. It's for comedic material.

The paint job of this Dash 9 that looks familiar to you is the Santa Fe railroad’s warbonnet scheme. Their other two paint schemes were yellow bonnets (their most common scheme) and blue bonnets (their least common scheme). The warbonnets are technically red bonnets, but Santa Fe never called them that to my knowledge. They were called warbonnets in reference to the Native American headdress. Santa Fe, New Mexico has long history of local Native American reservations in the region. It was the original scheme used on their flagship Super Chief passenger train service before Amtrak took over all long distance passenger service in United States in 1971.

It's a good investment! Glad you caught the safety stretch, very important. Hoping to make another video where I run with others for more realistic operations.

You just made me want to download this for no good reason. For all the random BS that runs through my head sitting in a siding. For trying stuff I don’t want on event recorder and I’m pretty sure PTC wouldn’t approve of. Those phone detectors on the blue engines at-least have gotten way to governmentish. Couldn’t see a phone or any sign of one on camera, but knew word for word the messages sent 🤯

Can you flat switch in the simulator? That would bring the"good old days" of railroading back for this retired hogger and really make the sim fun --- it was in real railroad work life and you could go through the switch list pretty fast. However "No more than 4" sometimes went "out the window"! Does the sim use Racor switches or are they rigid?

The switches vary. Manual and automatic are distributed throughout. I'm sure if you got 2 or 3 other people to join you, switching like the old days would be fairly easy!

Lol just watching some of your vids. Things aren't too bad. Managed to hold a job for nights while a guys away for engine school. Not looking forward to the EB though

@@Railroad_Talk My only anxiety is the nuclear spiders on all the cars. Bet I extend the brake stick as far as it goes so I don't go in between and covered in webs lmao

Frogs were added in V2. I can hear you but not the sim. Otherwise, good video.

Hello: It's May 19th. If you see this comment--While "standing" on the ground; Which keyboard presses get you moving up the track super fast? I can't find an answer. I press shift +W/Ctrl + W; but I move along at a snail's pace. Used to fly in V2; not V3.

It is all the same key functions in V3. To fly is left shift F12 I believe, then like you said left shift or control while pressing W. If that doesn't work I would contact the dev team.
