@Mike Hunt kinda! Seeing you walk up that valley tells me you're not. Good contractors use ladder braces as to not scratch or dent the gutters while going up & down the ladder. Obviously you didnt install that gutter, so your reasoning about a "properly installed gutter" makes absolutely no sense. Hail will dent gutters, so I'm sure your big ass would be leaving scratches or small dents. If you're going to post business stuff, make sure you are doing this correctly as to not show your lack of knowledge. 28th season talking!

It’s 6” so probably strong enough, the marks won’t be seen. Maybe a little paint come off!

Please tell me at what point this was more unsafe than normal? Roofing is one of the most unsafe positions in the world. You cannot anchor to the top of the roof until you climb up. This was the only way to get up.
