Real Steel Leveling Up Guide

Offense - The easiest way to level this skill is to just keep attacking your opponent without letting them fight back and make sure not to run out of power charge. If you want to get destruction up too then you can use tech moves because they'll still get you offense points.
Speed - Fight Metro or IDA-TEN if you can because he has 7 rounds which means more time to train and you can recover HP during intervals. Hold LB and press any direction to dodge punches and just keep doing that the entire match.
Guard - Hold RT to block and press down while holding it to block lower attacks. Fight anyone you want but training this skill will cause your arms to get damaged and eventually ripped off your robot.
(ONLINE: Hold RT and have a friend with 10 average punch speed spam you with fast, light attacks)
Performance - Fight someone easy or IDA-TEN. You get points for knocking down your opponent or after a round ends.
(ONLINE: Use the Fury Unleashed taunt repeatedly against a friend for the fastest points)
Destruction - Use tech moves by holding RB then pressing A, B, X or Y. Using unblockable attacks are better because most opponents are smart enough to block regular ones.
(ONLINE: Use the Body Blow Combo on a friend repeatedly and make sure they are always against a corner or edge of the ring so you land every hit)

@MrGamergod999 To get offennse you actually have to time your punches, Whenever your opponent is coming back to punch you punch him to stop his attack. This gets you 15 points. I suggest doing this on Scrapbot

@MrFatality2000 I got stuck on Ramchip aswell. What I suggest is TRAIN, TRAIN, TRAIN and TRAIN... I suggest keep fighting scrapbot or kong, over and over again working up your stat points (outlined in the description) You got to build up your stats and cash, then when you can afford it I suggest you upgrade the parts on your robot.

@Plazmafusion heres my explanation: When you circle the thumbstick, it builds up the blue rings, then you press the button that matches the gauge you want to fill. Then you do the same thing for all the gauges. PS: Get 2 or 3 blue rings before trying to fill up the gauge.

@TheAmazingKillJoy Skar makes a combo mostly of time of 3 high punches and then a low punch, just after block the low punch countered him with with faster light punches

Also to get your destruction up, if you do the "Dancing Uppercut Combo" over and over to someone who has a lot of health, one of 2 things can happen. A) You could knock his arm off and B) You could knock his head off. Either is fine, just knock something off and your looking at probably 800+ destruction per fight. Like i said in the previous comment, lots of taunting will get your performance up. On top of that if you knock your opponent down your looking at 120+ performance per knock down! :)

I know I'm 10 years late lol but the uppercut combo is just a hook not a combo. Is it supposed to be like that?

Exactly what HxP2011 said. Just do straight jabs to Metro's face over and over. As soon as he cocks back his arm to swing at you, give him a shot to the chin. Do this over and over and your looking at a good 600+ Offense every match. Speed would be good on him too. Just LB and move in a direction when he swings to dodge his punches. Guard is easy, just block all of his shots, but don't do what this guy did in the video. He sucks at blocking low. Performance you can also get up by taunting :)

@MrFatality2000 I beat him the first time, but I suggest hitting him in the head a bunch of time when the round starts, keep hitting him till you see your power about to deplete. Don't let him get you in a corner and doge all his heavy punches:P

@halo4andmw3 Yeah I do that. Since my bot has 10 hand speed, I jab when they're about to swing. Then I drag that out as long as I can. Be careful though cause those jabs can KO or decapitate somebody if you do them too much.

@ST9025 I don't know how that happens. My opponents drop too fast. Zeus loses in 1-3 downs for me. It's disappointing because I want the fights to last longer.

My thoughts is put on some fists and arms that wont exactly destroy your opponent,or just use a weak bot on scrap bot,with speed,because offense is hard to get,especially when you have a 9000 battle rating vs other robots lol,i got speed up on scrap bot,i literally just hit the duck button(L2 on the PS3) over and over,getting 300 points per speed,sometimes 900,i ended up beating it with 19k speed points

You can get a LOT of Destruction Points by breaking off both of your Opponents Arms or its head :) It worked! :D

Actually, IDA-TEN gives you less time to train than the average match, because each match with IDA-TEN is 1 minute long, and there are 7. Seven minute long match. Five 2-minute matches is ten minutes. So I suggest training with Metro. xD

One thing im really confused is getting back up after being knocked down, i know when the blue rings help you get energy back on all the bars, but is there a point to the thumbsticks or any thing i need to know about how to get right back up without difficulty?

go against metro and make sure ur punch speed is 10 , metro is slow as fuck so u gotta time it right only light punches and yes they do affect him when he is exposed so when he pulls back his arm or do a tech move then u calmly time it right and press y and u get 15 points and he tends to throw punches and shit so anytime he pulls back his hand u press y over and over i will post a vid l8ter on my channel come check it out
