Although my main interest in your channel is the gray hair content, I wouldn't mind hearing about any of the topics you mentioned. Thanks for all the wonderful information. It helped me so much in my, now complete, transition.

My husband calls me his silver fox! I’m only 9m in so have some time to go to grow out my dyed brown hair but I’m enjoying the transition and looking forward to seeing how it will look once I’m all grown in.

I like the chit chat videos, its nice to have something I can put on while doing other stuff that I dont necessarily have to look at. I think the wardrobe aspect would be a great addition since a lot of women seem to change their look up when embracing the gray. Skin care and even make up could also be something to explore. Health and wellness as we get older is always important so again, definitely something that I think would be a great and natural addition 👍

Great video chat. You do a great job. I would like the “chat” format more often. I love that you answered questions. Intermittent fasting, dressing better are great topics. Would love to keep the major focus on gray hair because you have really helped me thru this 9 months AND it is a revolutionary event where we need support. Show your cats more :). (I miss Apollo too)

Thanks, Robin! I love my kitties and definitely miss Apollo. I'll try to get them to join me more often - as you know, it's hard to get cats to do what we want them to do when we want them to do it, LOL. I will also for sure keep the focus on gray hair - just thought it would be fun to mix it up every so often :-)

Thanks for the info! You look gorgeous with silver hair. After 45 years of root chasing I’m done dying it. I’m going to chop it short after a few months.

It’s me again ! Lol. I’m so confused about what I can do about my hair , I’m new on this journey . My hair is all mixed . I have about 1/3 of my hair coming in gray , top and sides mostly . My hair is naturally very straight and fine , but there is a ton of it . I noticed my silver keeps breaking at my temples so I decided to start treating all my hair as if it’s silver , but added moisture to flat the hair that isn’t silver makes it even more flat if it’s possible . To add to the mess I had major spine surgery very recently and I lost a lot of hair and it broke off .. so now it’s in an awkward layered cut. I’ve gotten highlights for years … but I stopped about 7 months ago for fear of breaking my silver . So now I have brassy dark blonde and roots that are silver and and a drab dark dishwater blonde . I stopped using all heat , except for my bangs , after it started breaking off . I’m hoping no heat and no chemical treatment will result in healthy silver hair eventually . One bonus … now that alot of my hair fell out ( which seemed to be all my natural colored hair and left behind the silver ) there is some stands of silver that escaped the highlighting and were able to get a longer length , and they appear to be attempting to wave !!!! I’ve never had a wave in my life .. I’m so hopeful I will have some kind of wave or curl . So I guess my question is , is it best to treat all your hair as if it’s grey when it’s only partially grey to keep them safe ? Thanks !!

Yes! I think that would be the safest route - especially with the issues you‘ve been having. Your hair breakage and thinning could be from the anesthesia you had during surgery. The same thing happened to me after my breast reduction surgery. My friend (who is a genius about hair science) told me to take a vitamin to help make up for what happened due to the anesthesia. Let me find it and I'll link it below...

Here you go! I took these after my surgery, and also after I had Covid (which can cause hair loss) and they seemed to help! I usually get an upset stomach from vitamins, but these were very mild. rstyle.me/+hfyGR2zvtKhAkoz01p6gNA

Thank you so much ! Yes I have been so weird since surgery ! I kept and still do get close to passing out and get all lightheaded since the surgery .. blood work is fine .. blood pressure n glucose fine … but now I have to drink electrolytes everyday or I start getting loopy ! Maybe these vitamins will help ! As far as the grey , I got thrust into it overnight , that’s why I have so many questions .. I went from grey at the temples n some strands here and there , to my regular colored hair falling out overnight and Most of it coming back grey . I got these little inch long grey hairs my the thousands all over my head … lol …

This was a great video! Thank you for taking the time to answer all of our questions and detailing your recommendations so thoroughly in the 'more' section. I always find something useful in your posts. And I'm in for whatever type and number of videos you decide to produce in the future. It must be so time consuming to put these things together.

I enjoy all your videos. I'm 6 mo. In to going silver naturally. I am interested in losing 15 lbs. and am interested in intermittent fasting working up to a 3 day fast. I could also use help with my wardrobe. As a Silver Sister I don't want to look frumpy.

Ok Katie , my go to girl ! I got the products you suggested and I’m thrilled with them !!! Thank you !!!!! So I got a new question for you , what oil is best for gray hair ? I noticed my pin straight hair is now able to hold a bit of wave , because the gray that didn’t get caught in the highlights and the new growing in wants to twirl slightly . I want to use oil to define it and help nurish my hair that is damaged. I keep researching , but I keep hearing how oils darken your grey .. I want mine as silvery as it can be! Thanks !!!

So glad you like the products! Re: oils, I personally use Bumble & Bumble’s hairdresser’s invisible oil - i haven’t heard of any detrimental effects. Hope that helps!

Thank you soooo much !!! Will definitely be looking for that oil! I’m so grateful for the Joico Kpak recommendation , that stuff is a game changer ! Ad it’s going to be essential for my hair , because the purple shampoo makes my ends so brittle ! Since I’m so thrilled with the joico , I’m looking into their moisturizing purple shampoo . And the great thing is some of the Joico comes in sample sizes on Amazon !

I also want to say you’re my favorite KZfaqr I’ve found on the subject ! You are so relatable and you had your journey on here from beginning , to what we all hope to achieve with our grey . And you aren’t like ,” here is what I use , this is my go to oil and costs $3,000 an ounce “ 😂. I get all excited as they hype up the product then find out it’s impossibly expensive lol

Thank you! This is so nice to hear. I started my blog and KZfaq channel because i couldn’t find the info I needed (when I went gray) so I love hearing that I’m helping other women navigate this process :-). And yeah, I don’t like spending a ton of money on everyday things - my big luxury item for gray hair is the Dyson Airwrap but it’s worth it!

I dyed my hair dark brown in Nov and I’m thinking about going gray this year and I have three boxes of dye left to transition to grey. I have medium brown light brown and dark blonde and there all ash tone. I’m thinking of using all these boxes of dyes to transition to grey I only have only a small amount of grey at roots. My original color is dirty blonde. Is this a good plan? My hair is at long length to my middle of my back and I will cut my hair this spring to a short bob to help the transition. My hair grows about 1/4 inch a month. I’m not afraid of going grey and it kind of sounds exciting 😊

It's hard to say how well this plan of yours will work - my personal preference would be to go gray cold turkey but I know a lot of women don't like having the skunk stripe. The dye strip technique might be a better option for you, and since you have dirty blonde hair, it could be pretty subtle!
