We are ever growing and learning and improving. I had many traumatic experiences growing up and in my young life and it kind of caught up with me in my late 30s and 40s. I'm glad you've had a therapist to help you on your journey and appreciate you sharing with us so much! It takes vulnerability and resilience and strength to do that! You are such a brave, beautiful soul. I've been with you since the beginning and it's been a joy and honor to follow you. ❤❤❤

You have gone through some very traumatic events, Maria. From getting beaten up, to being abandoned at the airport, to your first husband. You are so strong, so wise, and such a great person. I am so glad to see you survive. And I do think it's because you are a curious person and you keep trying to make things better for yourself. Much love.

Maria really has been through so much in her life. I often think about her hardship and how tough those experiences would have been and still would be hard to overcome. However, Maria has dedicated her life to helping millions of people around the world find peace, calmness and happiness in their own minds through ASMR. Her strength is so inspiring 💕

The most powerful thing about adulthood for me has been realizing that I don't need permission to be whoever I want to be. Sometimes I have to remind myself that I am a human being and I am allowed to change my mind, especially when it comes to my own life. I've also had to stray away from the self-help/spirituality books and advice because I found myself being anxious about becoming a perfect, "healed" version of myself instead of just living and learning as I go. Sometimes you have to step away to hear your own thoughts and feelings. This was a great update from you Maria, I am so happy for you. You're glowing!

“I don’t need permission” is something I always have to remind myself now that I’m and adult. There’s a lot of unparenting we have to do. I have to constantly remind myself I’m not going to “get in trouble,” and that I’m grown up!

Maria, I have just loved watching you change and grow the past 8 years. I actually think the fact that you DO change your mind as you gain information makes you incredibly wise. So many people choose one hill to die on, but you explore through the peaks and valleys. And I respect the hell out of you for that! Keep being true to yourself! Anyone who doubts you or makes fun of you is just envious that they don't have the courage you have to change!

Its interesting how the media makes it seem like youre only worth anything in your 20s (esp women) because you appear "young" and after 30 you dont matter anymore. But for myself and everyone I know, life just started when we turned thirty. All of it before was like the tutorial level (haha). You finally have the space to meet yourself and understand who you are and what you want and what you need (whether you have the wherwithall to get going is a different story). And yet we want to hold on so desperately to the outward appearance of youthful beauty, when the real, miraculous beauty is the growth that happens inside from the moment you are born, that never stops until you die. ❤

We live in a fluid, dynamic reality. being able to change our minds is a sign of flexibility and expansion. Holding on to beliefs for the sake of holding on causes rigidity and stagnation. Seems like you have a very healthy approach to yourself and who you are.

I think I probably need some therapy myself soon. My mom passed away last month from lung cancer, I was there every step of the way with her, appointments, scans, tests, treatment, slept over at the hospital etc. I was her full time care giver and it was extremely traumatic for me to see her decline and how she suffered a hell of a lot in her last few weeks to the point where she was on oxygen 24/7 and had to have chest drains because her lungs kept filling with fluid and in the last few days she didn't even know where she was with her delirium which is common at the end of life, she was the most generous person I have ever known and didn't deserve all that. I'm 38 and still feel a bit young to lose her. I wanted at least another 10 years with her. I still had lots to make her proud of. I think about her every day and kiss her picture. I just hope I meet her again after this life.

Any type of religion, self help stuff, therapy styles, etc are all up to human interpretation. I think the mindset of "take what helps and makes sense, and leave the rest" can really be empowering. I have a good friend who goes to 12 step meetings for people in recovery from drug addiction. Those programs have not been updated in a very long time, and some of the "wisdom" in them is outdated and not backed up by research. But when you find a meeting with a group of people who click well, the support group aspect can be so helpful in sticking to recovery. Take what is valuable. Leave the rest. We are all just doing our best. And always remember that healing and growing is a bumpy process. There will be improvements and setbacks, and thats ok.

Thank you for sharing these deep introspections, Maria! I have also experienced a lot of distress as I've developed and changed in my 30s. After much reflection, I believe we SHOULD grow, explore and change as people. I am always learning and trying to improve myself. This has lead to dramatic changes in my beliefs, world views and ultimately how I live my life. I refuse to take what is the popular, easy opinion at face value and will continue to find my own truth. I have noticed that others in my life cling to "who they are" or are adamant that "this is just how I am". That may be more comfortable, they won't have to deal with the ramifications of paradigm shifts in their life. But growth and individualism aren't comfortable. The hardest part is finding friends that will stay with you through the shift, without judgment. Sending love and gratitude! Side note - sound and frequency healing is so beautiful and powerful. Spiritual sound bowls, religious hymns in church or yogi "oms", all healing and impactful! Thank you for sharing.

I have followed you fo so so many years and I always have and always will root for your happiness and success. ❤❤

I appreciate you always sharing your journey and I'm sorry people are so rude and mean. I love the way you always try new things, I think it's a very healthy thing to do because most people don't even want to try anything and are stuck in their ways. You always inspire me to try new things. Also, please make a whole video with the singing bowls ☺️, it really relaxed me.

You are a beautiful soul. Your journey of growth is lovely to watch. None of us is the same person we were 5 years ago. We are all products of our experience and in that way we are constantly evolving. You look so happy and that is infectious. Much love.

God, thank you, Maria! I live in Russia, in Lipetsk an hour ago we had a danger siren, my husband and I were hiding in the bathroom and it was terribly scary. now it's over and I just lay down on the bed, turned on part of the video with the meditation bowls, closed my eyes and just breathe. life goes on. this sounds, vibrations incredibly helps to calm the mind and body. thank you so much🙏🏼

It really can take quite some time for the impact of hard/traumatic events to hit home and to be ready to face that and heal. It's not easy, it takes some bravery so you're doing great! So happy for you. Being a complex, imperfect, growing human with freedom and agency and self-compassion really is wellness. 💖

I’ve always enjoyed your asmr, but I have loved getting to know the person behind your channel. You’re so authentic and genuine, vulnerable and open with your audience, and I love it. I love that you don’t apologise for you and your growth. I love your updates. Keep growing, love ❤

I love that you shared your changing views! I too am someone who shifts a lot in my religious and spiritual beliefs and sometimes I feel like I’m the only one struggling. Everyone else in my life seems to stay the same while I go through ups and downs. I’m hard on myself about it too. I think, why can’t I just stick with one thing and stop being curious or questioning all the time. 😅

You've always been a "deep well" of a person and I always feel inspired when you share what you are learning no matter what it is. I feel like you post therapy and exploring a new passion you are absolutely glowing and seems so happy💕💕 thank you for sharing, how beautiful ❤️❤️❤️❤️🫶

Hi Maria 👋 I've never commented on your videos before but I've been learning about acceptance and commitment therapy. It talks about how our values can guide us but we can become fused to ideas about ourselves and resist change. I'm learning that it's OK to be fluid about who I am and my beliefs. Context can play a role in how we feel but there is such an emphasis on being "true to yourself" as if we have a static self! Xx

I truly resonate with this ! I had done therapy but found it that like you I would just come up with things but had one good session and I didn't feel as if this therapist was the best fit. I found myself doing journaling , scrapbooking (my own version) , and listening to my body with what its feeling at the moment. I can be doing my scrapbooking and all of a sudden my mind will be like nope its time to put it away and go lay on the bed to truly relax, I will put my supplies away and go lay down. I stop trying to push through that feeling anymore. I will come to my desk with the great intent on playing with makeup or whatever and end up just sitting here listening to some calming music for awhile then go back to my room. I completely respect each person's own journey with whatever you are doing. I was even going through a stage where I was constantly searching for a new job because I felt a certain way at work but now I have come to peace with it , I will admit I had an interview too during that time but while I was waiting for the person to come over to interview me , I felt within myself that this place was not the place I needed to be. I wanted to get up and walk out- which has never happened to me !

Maria, what a wonderful video. Thank you for the wellness update. We all need to experiment in our lives to see what works for us to help us lead a life filled with joy and happiness. You are doing the work to do that for yourself. With all you have done so far that I know of, the singing bowls were just wonderful for me. I closed my eyes and YOU transported me. Transported me!!!!! I was personally sad when you gave away all of your beautiful crystals, but I am thrilled that you got the bowls and are sharing them with us sweetheart. I have said it before and will say it again, thank you for all of your hard work that you do for us to help all of us lead a less stressful and more beautiful life. You are a healer.

Those bowls are so relaxing, almost like a state of trance and peace. Maris it’s totally fine to jump from thing to thing, we change so often kind of like the seasons; and so does our experiences and mindset. We must find ourself as we grown, learn, and change. I’m very happy you are taking all the right steps for you.

I think taking in differences ideas and perspectives is essential to being well rounded person! Good for you maria for being the type of person who isnt so ridged in their ideas that they cant change for the better. Each time you shift as a person you pick the best elements of each phase of your life and move on to a new phase. You are one person who can relate to many. Beautiful!!

Hello Maria, thank you for this vlog. You have inspired me to be more honest and vulnerable. I will admit that I was one of those people who felt some hesitation when hearing about your journey deeper into Christianity. I was basing my feelings off of my own experiences, but of course you and I are not the same person and do not live the same life! You have encouraged me that I do not have to stay the same forever, and that it is actually better to embrace change as it comes and learn from each season in life. As much as we like to pretend that we never change, a lot of us change more than we even realize. Only some are brave enough to embrace that.

I love that you’ve gone through this journey!! I went through something similar last year in a big way. I think a lot of the tactics you are using are great, and I’ve used so many of them over the years. I do want to emphasize how important meds can be tho, like not to knock them! I went on meds for adhd, anxiety, and PMDD this past year, and it has been a life-changing decision for me, in all realms of my life. Just wanted to share that it is okay to go on meds if you need them! :)

I've followed you for years, Maria, I've seen you change for the better. When you first started ASMR, you were shy, reserved and you didn't seem as happy as you do now. I've enjoyed you sharing this side of you, the "real" you as it were. You're so genuine and your openness is a breath of fresh air that is much needed in this world of "influencers"

‘I’ve been innocent until my mid-thirties…’. You suppressed the dark energy that bad events bring. From that suppression has come healing energy and a spiritual light … In opposition to the dark. This comes from the Holy Spirit (call it any name you like … it’s a spiritual energy) .. which shines in you. It shows all of us your beautiful soul. And through this … You have helped countless thousands of people with this gift of healing spiritual light. WHICH YOU HAVE EARNED X Namaste☀️🙏🏻
