I left Christchurch in 2008 and now the city centre has changed so much that I can hardly recognize it

Never seen it that quite. Sun just coming up. It’s usually sooooo busy with traffic.

Must say that the driver of the said vehicle did not have any regard for the 30K speed restrictions in the area's that they traversed, it looked very much closer to 60K's.. ;)

Lovely video but might be a good idea to adhere to the 30 km speed limits where applicable and not run through late orange/red lights.

*red lights you mean not yellow. Yellow lights don’t mean stop
@BasabrushNZ10 ай бұрын
Sorry, ... Yes.. the Yellow Light does mean STOP, (If you are able to do so safely, which is 9 times out of 10) and the RED light means you "Stay Stopped" until you observe and thus proceed on the Green. @@Tamaragreenway

The city looks yuk, it is becoming just another horrible concrete jungle

I just couldn't agree more, with the two above enties, Ch CH is not like it used to be, the Square was a vibrant hub of our lost city.. @@philippians4194

Sad - our gorgeous city has become a shambles of terrible design. A city without design vision. Re: $$$ tourists come to see this? Comfortable for residents?

But I am amazed by the progress at the same time…i was in New Zealand in 2019 and the difference/progress is definitely visible

I was concerned about how many times the driver went through an amber light. They had time to stop as the light went red before they even got through the intersection.

One day the city will be worth visiting as it grows again. I'd say in a few decades when it's closer to the size of present day Adelaide, and even that is too small. Adelaide is set to reach 2 million people by next decade and 3 million people in 30 years time

For me not all the city in a country should be beautiful
