Beautiful!! Very informative!! I especially appreciate the water color pencil as an alternative to Brusho. Don't think Brusho and I would get along - too many allergies! Thank you so very much!!

Loved this tutorial. Thank you. I just had a present of a beginners set of watercolours, pallet , brushes, sketch book and larger pad for the masterpiece ! (Joke). I can neither draw or paint but fancied a go as it always looks a relaxing hobby to me. I will certainly be following your channel and have subscribed. Thanks again for the inspiration.

Thanks Karen. I have just started using watercolor, and I find your tutorials so helpful. I especially like it that you start off simply, and yet end up with an attractive painting. I also appreciate your encouragement when doing the painting. I plan to try out my hand with the ideas from this tutoial. Thanks again.

Thank you Karen for this tutorial! Great ideas for creating depth! Q1: Do you start with freshly squeesed out paint in your pans? They appear to be so soft… Q2: your paint does not bead up on your metal palette. I am struggling with this. What is your best advice?
@KarenRiceArt
@KarenRiceArt Жыл бұрын
Thank you Ann. I paint everyday and that is why my paints look soft. However if they harden up, I squeeze out fresh paint on the colours where I know I will need a large wash. Your paint is beading up because the palette sounds newish? You will found overtime this will stop.

Hello Karen, lovely painting and so informative! I have a quick question. I have the same Sennelier pallet and my Ultra Blue comes out very grainy on my Arches 140lb cold press. Is there something I am perhaps doing or not doing? Thank you and I love your channel.
@KarenRiceArt
@KarenRiceArt 2 жыл бұрын
Thank you Lisa. Ultramarine is a granulating paint. So the grainy effect is a natural result of using Ultra. Hope this helps 😊
