st player in the world when he was in his prime. People used to compare him to Didier Drogba from Ivory Coast and most of them were like Drogba was better than him but no, Eto’o was a way ahead of Didier Drogba and any other players, even better than CR7 and Messi when it was Eto’s prime. even Ronaldinho knew how good he was when he used to play for Barcelona. Eto’o has done so much things for his national team too, every single game for Cameroon victory was because of the only one man, the captain of the team - Samuel Eto’o. He was insane, tremendous and incredible. Okay i got Weah but yes, he played in the easy era. It was not that tough and challenging for Weah but Eto’o was overshined by the legends of football (Ronaldinho, Messi, CR7, Ronaldo9, Roberto Carlos, Kaka, Gerrard, Beckham, Ibrahimovic, Pirlo, Milito, Aguero, Henry, Riberry, Robben…) There weren’t players like above in Weah’s era. if George Weah played in Eto’o’s era, believe me he would be considered like Adebayor or Aboubakar. 🇨🇲 thanks for Cameroon, making the best player of Africa in football history.

Etoo is the best African football player of all time. There should be no debate about this. No African player in the whole continent of africa, past or present can achieve what Samuel Etoo has achieved. The ballon d or is just a popularity contest. Etoo deserved that award in 2006 and even to 2010. The fact that luka modric can win it, tells me that. The ballon d Or is just a popularity contest, it is about favoritism, about who the higher ups like more. Even jose mourinho said he still does not understand why etoo never received that award. He even said etoo should have won that award, seeing all the great things he did on the football world, for country and clubs, with different world class clubs doing the impossible.
