@@rinelle6813 Imma senior said the exact same thing, and mark my words, it is not the same in the moment as it is when it passes. You think the dull moments are the ones you need to shoo away and you wanna hurry up and make those huge huge memories under bright lights and loud music. Yet, when you grow, it'll be the silent moments after the parties, and the soft words people whispered in your ear about how important you are to them that you'll remember. Trust me, you'll never be able to guess the moments you'll remember.

I'd beg to differ on your assessment, his speech is more relevant than most of the pointless positivity I got from my graduation, encouragement has no power if you don't address the gravity of the situation. He may have made everything sound like a punchline, (Also a noticable speech impediment/nervousness that affected the execution), but the things he talked about are real challenges, real problems that affected myself and my class sooner rather than later. Life is no joke, but it is a comedy. Thus in the midst of failure, the Greatest comforter (besides Jesus) is perspective. Bravado is not blind in light of risk, it simply keeps the eyes closed until they pass the brightness , thus become useful once more.
