Ah yes, so here it is, a gmod realism tutorial. This tutorial actually does not require RESHADE at all, the effect mostly comes from playing around with the mods as well as some post processing effects while editing. I hope the tutorial is clear, and if there’s anything you wanna ask just comment down below and I’ll do my best to answer. Ask anything, about the maps, playermodels, weapons, and I’ll reply.

All right, so I forgot to say that you need Modern Warfare weapons for the full effect, I'm sorry to cause any confusion. Here's the link to the steam collection. You forgot blood splatter effects and CRT distortion effect maybe blur and bloom ? Ambient ;ight occlusion effect work wonders for realism effect

1. For the video I used the COD ModernWarfare 2 Shadow Company NPCS. However, I would recommend the Payday2 SNPCs, the pack has a lot of variety of enemies that you can use for different situations. 2. For CQB maps, you might wanna look into "SCP:Roleplay" and "Neotokyo" maps, theres a lot of tight corners and cool areas for close combat. You also could look at the official csgo maps, they're pretty cqb oriented. 3. These are the maps present in the montage section in chronological order: - Liminal Service Tunnels - gm_wick_night Thats it!

Also I recommend getting the l4d2 xdr animations it may glitch the mw switch animation but it's much better than CSGO xdr

Cool video but how do u get to play these scenarios, I've seen alot of KZfaqrs doing these realism Gmod vids but never talk on how to play such scenarios if u have to make them or u can install them like a game mode or something

Its a lot of meticulous planning. I usually analyze the layouts of a certain map I would film in and try to layout the sequence of the scene. That means planning the routes of npcs, the lighting, the effects, as well as considering how I would move through the map as everything happens. It’s quite a lot of planning.

where I’d record one track of the soft and than use a second Edison to record scrubbing through the soft to mimic a wave table.

This was very helpful but theres one problem and its that when I have the sharpeye mod it removes my leg when I kick (im using the mighty foot mod btw) Edit: Also, when I finished downloading the Final Cut Pro it was a dmg type file which idk what a dmg file is so I didnt know how to use it and when I searched final cut pro it led me to filmora but when I searched the same thing but with the word "trial" at the end it did pop up

Cool video, but wouldn't the chest mounted camera be kind of annoying to use? You'd barely see anything with the hands and weapon in the way. Could you offset it more to the left so it's above the left arm?

Sure you can! Viewmod offers full customization so you're able to change the camera placement according to your own preference.

@@upols2217 I mean when i start shareye everything is fine but when i enable "Viewmod" my arms are in one place and the rest of my body is invisble and when i say 2nd option down i mean the "Firstperson Use Worldmodel" option, if i dont enable it just makes my body invisble and anchors my arms.

@@kionsland Oh, to fix that you have to go to the sharpeye menu, go to the advanced tab and click on "Unhook viewmod_cam"

Yes they are npcs! I used a mod called Patrol Routes STool to create npc pathways for them to follow, its a pretty neat mod.

Ah, for the intro it was "filmed" in the darkroom in gm_construct. I just placed props around to make it look like a display. I spawned in a large table and put weapon props on top of it. For the lights, I used the base game lamp tool and placed it on top of the table so it looks like a spotlight of some sort. Sry man fc pro is all I know. But essentially the effect u need is a fisheye lens, some scanline overlays and a bit of footage degradation, thats essentially what the “security effect” does as mentioned in the vid

Yeah I had that problem as well, all you gotta do is to go to the sharpeye menu, then go to Advanced and unhook the viewmod_cam. It should work after
