Before washing their hair, (especially after a long protective style) I would suggest using a pre-poo (creamy conditioner with slip) to gently finger detangle and remove shed hair. Then braid or twist the detangled hair into 4/6 sections and wash. This should make the wash experience better for the girls and reduce tension on their scalp.

I love their hair; it is just beautiful. I would also suggest a conditioner with more slip, as it will allow for a less stressful wash and comb out for the girls. Love you guys:)

Something that helps is when u conditioning their hair comb it out it helps so they dont cry and try to escape lol I gotta a daughter too once I found that out made everything easier

You are going to need an e3 detangling brush. A few tips pre-poo with a conditioner with a lot of slip and try to do a little finger detangling. Also wash their hair with the platts still in, just keep the roots loose so you cleanse the scalp. Hopes this help to make the process easier for both you and the girls. Detangling can be ruff, but they have beautiful hair.

I would quickly dry the baby’s hair since she’s so young.

Also, after removing hairstyles, always detangle hair out first before washing. It does make a huge fat difference lol.

Ohhhh no combs for detangling 😩 hurt so much ... lol it reminds me of my childhood. I would always get told that I was tender headed ... but no a comb for detangling really does tear your hair out. Once my mom started using creme of nature detangler alongside a detangling brush .. it was smooth sailing. Less tears over the years 😅

I saturate my daughters hair, like you do ,with watered down conditioner. I finger comb the tangles first,. Then, I comb{with a regular comb}, from the bottom up like you do... The finger combing first ,makes detangling faster, painless and smoother...

I have thick hair like your daughter, and what helps me detangle my mine is combing it while its wet and using a product with slip like a conditioner or detangler. Especially when my hair is dry, I make sure to use a moisturizer to detangle, because dry hair tangles easier. I also make sure to start from the ends and gently work my way up to avoid breakage. But I'm not telling you what to do. I'm just sharing my advice from a lot of trial and error.😅

i got 4c/b/a hair and my moma relaxed my hair when i was 2 im so glad yo babies naturaal even tho them crying make me reminice lmao, i feel they pain babyy, and i HOPEE my baby aint tender headed like me when she grow up cause my baby just turned 1 and her hair type like aaliyahs, her hair almost as long as mine and she be alright when i detangle her hair , i think cause they have looser curls , like 3 type.. but aloe vera act like BUTTER in my 4c hair its crazy, maui moisture got aloe vera juice as the first ingredient, i used to be a product junkie when i first went natural now i like making or using natural shit like straight up shea butter, eggs for protein, bentonite clay to detoxify, water to moisturize, dassit lol, our type hair so versatile and dont need much but TLC and patience, i love it. but also these denman looking brushes, they honestly look more like tangle teasers, girl they got them at dollar tree so i'd get some for the babies cause im telling you, as long as they hair not dry, whatever you put in they hair, that brush will help so much too, love yall

Hey Lateria! I wanted to make a suggestion for the older baby's with 4c hair. I switched over to this product called TGIN (Thank God It's Natural) it's also black owned and literally after the first wash my hair is soft. They have a Honey hair mask deep conditioner that would DEFINITELY HELP with detangle. It's like the icing on the cake after the shampoo. You should also try Jamaican castor oil.

they seem to have 4c hair like me... bc my hair is long & THICK, i can't wash it like short hair folks bc it TANGLES up really bad!!! 4c hair is 4 different type of hair patterns, that one strand can wrap around and make a big ball really quick!!! it use to take me 5hrs to do my hair, most of it was getting the TANGLES out of it... i have to PULL the shampoo through the hair, no circular motions bc that creates TANGLES!!! pulling it through, gets the hair just as clean as going in circular motion... less pain... there is a shampoo & cream that softens BLACK hair and makes it easier to comb... i wish i could put the name up but the bottle is orange & yellow...

When you comb start from the bottom and work your way to the root (I’m not trying to teach you anything it’s just a technique) I know that works because I’m also tender headed also it won’t be so traumatic.

When u wash the hair apply a little conditioner over all. Then go threw with the spray bottle. That method isn’t allowing enough sit time especially being watered down ( but side bar I’m a licensed Cosmetologist my daughter is 19 and stilllllll gives me 🤯 when I do here hair too 😂😂😂.
