My toddler is same age as yours (almost 3) and also keeps standing up, what works for me is to take some books, and if we read a book and look at the pictures she stays sit for a longer period.

When my 3 year old wouldn’t stay sat down at meals we put her back in the high chair. At first she was mad af lol 😂 but after a couple times we gave her the choice. Either stay seated until her plate is gone or high chair. she knew if she didn’t want to be in that high chair at meals she has to stay seated.😂 you are a great mom Tara whatever you choose to do will be what’s right and what works for your family. ❤

Maybe try eating at table by candle light no big lights, tv or phone and have everyone sit at the table also and see if that helps!!!

About Tatum and the high chair, is everyone sitting down and eating at the same time or are you and/or Adam walking around? Perhaps if you all make a habit of sitting together at the table every night then she will know to sit still. Just a suggestion to try.

Mama of a 3.5 year old toddler boy and a 2 year old girl. My girl still sits in her high chair because she is the same way! She won’t sit still and it becomes such a mess when she’s eating. I have one exactly the same so I still keep her in her high chair. My son on the other hand, total opposite. From the age of 1.5, he sat at the table and never was trying to get off. So I completely understand 😅

My son is the exact same way, he will not sit still at the table with us like he used to. Unfortunately, I give him the phone while at the table to eat with his family, but I do wish something else would help.
