I always use right click select. It was that way since 2.6 i think when i first started using blender. It is much easier. And i hated it after more than a year of pause from blender and i came back to 3.2 version and it was left click select. 😂 But i found it in preferences how to change it. Yeah i forgot almost everything while not doing it for over a year 😅😂

I noticed you use a lot of loop cuts to sharpen corners after smoothing. Would you be better off using a bevel before doing the smoothing? Thanks in advance. By the way, I'm greatly enjoying your tutorials. Keep up the excellent work!

Hi Ryan, not sure how to phrase this, but do you have any tips for making (extruding) objects that change shape part way through? Im trying to make a chisel for example, and I'm struggling withe the fact that the bottom of the chisel is round but it gradually becomes a sharp squared shape at the top (the blade).

Hello, I'm trying to figure out where I'm going wrong? When I try to connect two adjacent legs of a chair, I can't connect them in any way at all. The faces always connect to me only in the same leg and not with the adjacent leg. I also tried to pull out the vertices and connect them together and then create a face, but somehow I can't do it either. Wouldn't it be possible to somehow use an array and create five legs in this way?

Thanks for the tutorial! I have a question. Before adding texturing, do we have to make sure the normals are blue instead of red, or is that only for certain textures?

yeah its a good idea to make sure the normals are flipped correctly.

Just now I started this work. It was supposed to be something simple. I'm curious how it will be with me. As I have seen, this tutorial is also a super good work from you. So slowly I can understand better what you're talking about. If you hardly understand English, then the letters A, E, sound like A in German. And also the same with the letters E, I that sounds in German like E, so that I had to test until now always what you mean. But solangasm I have understood it. So thanks a lot for that. Hope you make soon times again a beginners or advanced tutorial. I am curious. Translated with DeepL

@RyanKingArt
@RyanKingArt 2 жыл бұрын
I never used Cad, so I don't know for sure if its the same, but Blender does have a spin tool in edit mode, where you can spin around the geometry. You can also use an array modifier and spin the array around another object.

Great tutorial! But being new at blender this question is killing me. At 1:03:23 you decided to make the cube "round" by Beveling it with CTRL+B, while in every other object you just added a Subsurf Division with loop holes. I know the difference is that Beveling adds more detail that can actually be manipulated, but why did you Bevel it there on such a small object that seemed rather... uninmportant?
@RyanKingArt
@RyanKingArt Жыл бұрын
Hmm, I don't know why I added a manual bevel there. In this case, for that bottom piece on the chair, you could either add a manual bevel, like I did, or use the bevel modifier. either way works. But no objects in the real world are perfectly sharp. all edges have some amount of bevel, so it is important to add.
