REALISTIC WEAR TEST! L'Oreal Colour Riche Matte Lipstick Swatches & Review

The new L'Oreal Colour Riche Matte Lipsticks make some heavy claims... can they actually live up to them and outperform other new drugstore lipsticks?! I'll be sharing lip swatches and my review after a more realistic wear test. Instead of just wearing the lipstick as long as I can, I'm going to actually put it up against realistic use: drinking out of cans, straws, and two meals without touching up. The L'Oreal Intense Volume Matte Lipsticks claim to be smudge proof, long wearing up to 16 hours and non-feathering... let's see about that!

I've tried the Loreal and the Revlon you mentioned. I use both but am not really fond of either. It feel like an endless search for the right lipstick that stays and a color I like, but I love trying! Thank you for sharing Miranda! ❤

I’ve been wearing red matte lipstick for 30 yrs. And I’ve never expected it to last through eating. I’ve always removed it to eat and then reapplied after. Why we expect this seems silly. Unless you are going out for a meal there’s no reason not to just remove and reapply.

There *are* actually a LOT of matte lipsticks that last through eating. Or, maybe they'll require just a bit of re-application, but at least they don't bleed or smudge outside the lip lines. As I said in the video, the product claims to be smudge proof but it's not. During 16 hours (the wear claim the brand makes this product lasts), one would be expected to eat at least twice which is why I tested it against two meals. The color still looked great after eating once, as you can see, but the smudging specifically went agains the claim the brand made-- so it's one of those things of expecting what you're being told the product is supposed to do, and whether it does that or not. The point of this review was to test it against the claims the brand made of the product so people can know whether it delivers. If you're already used to removing/reapplying then these would be pretty to add to your collection for sure!

I’m excited to try the revlon suede ones but these are a pass for me! I prefer to skip lip liner if possible!

Isn't it interesting the same product in different colors pulls and tugs or not. Feathering and smudging-thanks for the head's up. Very thorough and honest video.

They are a pass. Pretty colours, I love the size of the tube but the feathering makes me want to say no… unless you tell me they are so so much more comfortable to wear than liquid lipsticks. I’ve been a fan of the Maybelline Vinyl Ink lately as they are long lasting and not as drying as the other liquid lippies.

The Revlon ones are actually really good. They don't last through greasy food as with most liquid or bullet matte lipsticks, but they don't smudge or transfer with drinking

I bought 143 (cuz I’m cheesy and that’s what I text my kids so I had to specifically have 143 😂) but I surprisingly love the color on me WHEN and only when I top w/the Elf mint chocolate gloss. That is a beautiful combo when smudged together on the lips, in terms of looks alone, not lasting power 😅.

Oh Lord you are so smart to pass on these I agree the colors are beautiful in the formula is wonderful If you have young lips. On 57 in these lipsticks were horrific on me. 😱
