As a Canadian lol best things about Vancouver specifically : -clear air, the sea and forests make the air really nice and you miss it when you move -feeling of safety , even with all the drug use I don’t feel unsafe anywhere -availability of various food of pretty good quality (meat -beef, sorry Indians-is better than veg here though because we have to import veg from long distances mostly, except cabbage) Worst: -cost -it’s kind of boring, for a city of the size, not many great buildings to see either, without the nature most of the city is ugly except the older residential areas , which are rapidly disappearing -weather for 60% of the year -people are polite but not always warm -Indian security guards (young recent arrival ones, not the old school ones) that take their job way too seriously, chill out dudes, you’re not the police!

The worst part was when one of the girls said she doesn't know her university fees as she doesn't pay it. Strictly not a way to live in my opinion

The best part about Canada is basically like describi Mumbai in India. Money, safe for females, opportunities, lifestyle, Clean water to drink and much more. Actually Mumbai has better climate as people in Mumbai do not have to wear 4 layers of clothing to save themselves from freezing climate. Ps: here I am talking about people who actually have a good job and earn good in Mumbai and not the labourers who immigrate to Mumbai for money.

Freedom to wear "anything" and staying out at night is very important for a lot of girls !

Trust me, this is a very bad idea. You spend fortune, get secondary preference for internship and struggle for job as economy is struggling, face hatred, stress, depression and lose self confidence. I had my children go through similar situation, so think 100 times before you consider Canada for further studies.

US does not sucks. Every country has their pros and cons. I am a Canadian studied and worked in Canada for 15 years before moving to the States for better career opportunities and cost of living standard. Canada is a great country to get PR and citizenship unlike US but Canada is becoming too overpopulated with less jobs and low salary with extremely high housing prices.
