In Maharashtra their is already reservation for womens like half bus ticket , low fees for girls in private state colleges and more scholarships for women as compared to men. Goverment should do reservation in colleges during admission on the basis of annual income of parents but not on the basis of different caste . Bcs kabhi kabhi ek gareeb general ka bacha apni seat khoo deta hai bcz of high fees and other side ek wealthy sc/st wala bacha km fees mai easily seat mil jati

Tbh agar mummy papa ka salary bhi dekha Jay toh usme bhi problems hai. Agar businesses ke naam par register kiye jaata hai toh they get the reservation. Because businesses revenue is not constant, and this method is often used by students to get reservations for entrance exams even if the person's parent own a rich buisness. Every system has it faults and it's getting harder to fix everything due to the increasing population. Nothing can happen if the people's mind set won't change, even if the government implements changes

India - The country of reservations. I am sure situation of females will improve like it has for SC/ST since independence (only sons/daughters of those who have availed it re-use it, while the poor families in tier 3-4 cities don't) I wonder why we talk about reservations only in seats of power🤔

First of all, reservation in jobs and education is a completely different topic than reservation is parliament and panchayats. Men are less likely to be aware about or interested in women centric issues compared to women. Same for upper-caste people in regards to lower-caste issues. So, it's just unfair for lawmakers to be mostly men when roughly half the population are women. Same thing for caste based reservations. So, morally speaking, I think reservation is needed if we want our lawmakers to work on gender and caste based issues.

the problem with reserving seats for anyone is that the seat loses its value, ppl will stop seeing it like it was obtained through merit and will start looking at it like its a handout, i think this will only make it worse for female MPs, and the ones who were already MPs before reservation will be put in the same bracket of reserved. Because of this ppl may look down on female MPs more than they already do

It is essentially a handout with reservation you'll get somewhere with half of the work you'd actually need to get there if they actually wanted make things better they should've leveled the playing feild my giving out packages ti cover cost fir rallies and speeches for female candidates not give them reservation tbh it just feels like a small scheme to pump the numbers up just for the international grand standing there will be no quilty there although parliament always dubious quality I don't know what i was expecting from there

A "representative democracy" involves representing people from all walks of life. Our parliament should have representations from men, women, trans, disabled, downtrodden, rich, poor , highly educated to illiterate. We must discuss on issues from all walks of life and then come to a consensus. Every opinion counts as long it is just. We must look for inclusiveness and focus on the betterment of everyone. Freely incorporating people to legislative and administrative positions without giving due regards to the scholastic and other crucials skills and abilities of the individual can wreck a havoc in the country. Therefore, regardless of reservations being brought in.. the basic scholastic and leadership abilities should be prioritised.

I hope someone else comes along and elaborates on this because I don't have the articulation skills but I think reservations in exams, college applications, jobs, or anything that demands a very strict, one-dimensional evaluation process, is very different from reservations in leadership roles, or executive-roles or general decision making roles, and that these two should be viewed and assessed differently too.

from my experience what i have seen is women leaders are more unreachable. our village MUKHiYA is a women but nobody knows her .Her husbands always come forward and do everything we don't even get to talk to her . then when you say something to her she plays women card you cant even criticise her man. i hate women in politics through reservation they are restricting our choice . what if we don't want a female representative

@@kishor.k8092 in panchayats woman reservation is not beneficial mostly male from his family rules under his name but in mp election's it will be very beneficial because mp elections are big. people vote for real representative and mp has far more power than any panchayat representative so it will be very hard for any male to rule by using female reservation

Political bias dono jagah seh hi hota hai, hota rahega. Us as consumers have to make sure that we are thinking about the info we consume rather than blindly accepting everything that is presented to us. People who used to be sl ave owners,have media representation in TV and news and had Jizya privilege do not deserve to be called marginalized. Only Dalits are marginalized because they were historically discriminated against and had to go through untouchability.

The only women this will benefit is existing neta’s wives, daughters, daughters-in-law, nieces etc. We don’t need more Rabdidevis. There should be consequence if it is deemed they are not acting out of own accord but under influence of the men in their family. The reservations should not be on constituencies but on party and they can field those percentages anywhere across the land. Ideally the reservation should be 33% of every party candidates to be women, who will then have to win on their own merit and may the best man or woman win.

In this country I think so its a sin to be born as general, Hindu and a male After giving Neet, I realized that how reservation is destroying so many lives , students having 300 marks are also getting seats in renowned colleges if they belong to SC/ST and most of them are from very rich houses as i know few of them. Edit: To all those commenting about how women feel unsafe and can't travel outside after 9 pm . Guys, My answer is about academic and political point of view and not SOCIAL PROBLEMS THAT WOMEN FACE!! And if someone is still having problem with it then how can you say that just because women aren't safe they should be awarded with reservations. And one more thing I am myself OBC but guys I want caste based reservation to stop and for some people who would point that I would be using obc quota in neet then guys my state Chandigarh doesn't give any obc quota .

The problem is that India is progressing too slow. Reservations were meant to help accelerate development of lower class and backward society to the level of the general population but even after 7 decades there is still a huge gap. If reservation is removed right now the less developed sections of India will return to the stone age.

to be honest I have seen on an average, especially in rural area, more than men, there are so called uppercaste women who discriminates oppressed caste, I have seen mothers restricting their offspring from playing with certain caste class friends. also i have seen these so called uppercaste women revolting against anganwadi mid day meal cook an refusing to eat from their hands for her caste. I can see now where it comes from

Special quota will not end in 15 years. just like SC/ST reservation was included in the Govt. of India Act of 1935 and in the Constitution it was for 30 years and even after 73 years it is getting extended and expanded. All reservations everywhere should be outlawed. Term limits of three Parliaments should be introduced. Rajya Sabha should be directly elected so as not to allow loser politicians to remain in the game. No person should be allowed to contest in more than one seat.

Arey mere Bhai alteast before thinking of closing reservation ek study to Karo on the status of sc st and OBC. Caste sensus to Karo. Representation ka percentage of each caste in higher scale tho nikalo😅. Simple end Karo end Karo bolne se fayda nahi hai. Land apka, Power apki, pisa apke pass and you are the master and want to end reservation just for the sake to rule unending.

Nothing is going to change, I am currently facing worst situation bcuz of reservations, I am a neet aspirant (neet is a exam for entrance in medical college) this year I scored 560 marks out off 720 but cut off of general this year increased to 584 marks , today last stray round results came , in which one boy with 337 marks ST category and another one with 455 marks SC category got government mbbs seat, and here i am inspite of scoring lot more than them studying again for neet 2024

We should only give equality of opportunity and not the equality of outcomes,. If they would be capable enough we will vote them irrespective of gender or caste, India have already showed that when comes to election people does not care about gender , we already have 1 ex women pm in India.
