The true champion of island ownership can be found in a place you might not expect - the Nordic countries. All three countries in Scandinavia control a staggering 76% of all the islands in the world. And, among these island-rich nations, the one with the most is Sweden! With a whopping 267,000 islands.

Everyone always gets Scandinavia wrong. Sweden, Norway, and Denmark are the Scandinavian countries, although Denmark isn't a part of the Scandinavia Peninsula. Finland is a part of the Scandinavian Peninsula, but the Scandinavian countries. 🇸🇪🇩🇰🇧🇻🇫🇮

Technically North and South America are one huge island, with smaller ones, same for Europe, Asia, and Africa are together one huge island with smaller islands

It technically is but their languages are different. Swedish being a northern Germanic language and Finnish being Uralic.
