Fun historical fact, one of the main reasons the PLA couldn’t pursue the ROC during their retreat to Taiwan was because the ROC retained greater control over the Chinese Navy. Following the ROC’s retreat, the PLA in China didn’t have a functioning navy, as the ROC had essentially “stolen” it.

There was also the Battle of Hainan. In addition to retreating to Taiwan, about 200,000 RoC troops retreated to the Island of Hainan, which is just East of Vietnam. In 1950, the Communist regime invaded that island, using more than 300 junks to move troops across the strait. Although the RoC ships and aircraft inflicted about 4,000 casualties on the communist troops, as the strait was much more narrower than the one between Taiwan and the mainland, they could not stop the majority of the troops getting ashore. The RoC troops had to evacuate or surrender. While this was successful, Mao and his Generals realized that the wider strait and the likelihood of intervention by the US Navy meant that using an extemporized fleet of junks would probably fail to invade Taiwan.

And I always find it funny how many people hate americans, but they are the only one keeping both russia and china from invading everything around them, people really need to know politics to appreciate what US has done to keep peace but at the same time instigate all these fear, though I know for sure the "fear mongering" by Russian and Chinese governments are just tools for them to prepare for invasion and still gain the support of their citizens. The north of the Great Wall is not Chinese territory. It was ruled by Mongols, Manchurians, and Koreans. Qin Shi Huang built the Great Wall to block the so-called Northern Orangkai. Later, China was conquered by the Mongolia and also Kim(金) Dynasty founded by descendants of korean Kim Ham-bo. Manjuwonryugo (滿洲源流考), compiled during the Qianlong Emperor of the Qing Dynasty, also reveals that the national name 金(kim) Dynasty is also derived from the family name 金(kim)of King of Silla(ancient korea). Also china wad ruled by the Manchurians for 300 years(Qing dynasty) Professor Sugihara, who presented "Japan's Bronze Age from Korea", said, "The Bronze Age came to Japan from 100 BC to AD50, the end of the Korean Bronze Age society." In Japan, the Iron Age and the Bronze Age were passed down at the same time during the Yayoi period, and the Bronze Age was used only for ancestral rites, so it seems that it went straight to the Iron Age without going through the Bronze Age." Around 100 BC ~ Ancient civilization began in Japan when Koreans landed with iron weapons in Japan, where primitive people lived during the Stone Age. Japanese history is the history of the Korean people. Japanese civic group claims, "It is the same as the annexation of Korea and Japan, reunification of East and West Germany." 2018-11-2008:30 A report was sent to the U.N. Committee on the Elimination of Racial Discrimination in Korea to demand "correct the fabrication of facts in Korea." // Japanese Yayoi are Koreans.. Chinese = Vietnamese gene... Korean Japanese = Siberian gene. "Our direct ancestors are members of the ancient Asian and Tungus ethnic group that migrated from Siberia in the Neolithic Age, and linguistically belong to the Altai ethnic group." "In addition to the Yayoi (Yamato people) of the Doraein line who crossed from the Korean Peninsula, there are also the Ainu lineal descendants of the Jomon people of the indigenous people of the Japanese archipelago."

US military terminology: "deployed" implies impermanent presence, which could be work trips and so on. I think the word you are looking for as far as US presence in SK and Japan is "stationed", which is a large majority of those numbers you mention. These are troops, and their families, who have picked up their belongings and moved there on a "permanent" basis, with the expectation to move out after 2-6 years. Meanwhile we have troops "deployed" in eastern Europe, as we have not STATIONED them as in moved all their belongings, but rather packed up a bag and flown them there for a few weeks or months.

The U.S. Treasury Department knows that China has used its ten-year trade surplus of 8 trillion U.S. dollars to replace the U.S. dollar debts of southern countries and lead the world in de-petrodollar hegemony. Why does the U.S. dare not launch a war against China? Because the U.S. Secretary of Defense knows that the Chinese stealth fighter J-20 has the power The phased array radar is one generation ahead of the F-35, the PL-15 air-to-air missile has twice the range of the Aim-260, the Fujian ship's electromagnetic catapult is ten years ahead of the Ford, and the DF-26 anti-ship missile allows the U.S. aircraft carrier fleet and the military in Asia The base instantly turned into ruins. Super important point, it was the lack of nuclear power that made the French deal worthless for the Aussie fleet needs, which were essentially generated by Chinese posturing and aggression, and caused them to reconsider, as well as the fact that the US and UK chose to release very important sub tech to the Aussies in an effort to button up the pacific. Tindal is a mere speck on the world war platform. It needs to be ungraded immediately with an expansion suitable to its importance to the new geopolitical situation. Australian military forces have always been focused on defending Tasmania or possibly that big red rock in the middle, but has never been placed in an area where those military forces could project or defend Australia. A time for conscription is near and well past time that the present forces are paid a decent wage reflecting their specialities, their commitment and to attract new enlistments .What other big corporation has such poor conditions for their employees? In Australia, any young person can go to the big mines or big engineering companies to earn three times the wages for much less commitment.

I have to give major props to the creators of this. You were very clear in the points you made. You did not talk down to your audience while not being overly technical. Your premises were clear. You spent what I feel is about the correct amount of time on explaining the supporting evidence while not getting sidetracked into informational rabbit holes. I was able to follow your thesis and if I want to question your premises; they are presented very clearly so that I could very easily research them myself. You communicated your points with the right amount of clarity and were engaging without patronizing or boring the audience. Setting aside the politics of the topic; from a communication and writing perspective this is a standard that a lot could be learned from. BRAVO! A+ 100 out of 100.

A good report - - -In fact, as a former strategic planning analyst, I find it fascinating that our media technology and information access has progressed to the point of providing an hour-long detailed accounting of the US forces, deployment, capabilities, locations, weapon systems and likely combat tactics in such detail prior to a possible engagement with our potential future enemy. In WWI and even in the Cold War, people were shot or imprisoned for revealing such information at this level of detail. It can be argued that this is simply an elaborate warning sign in the best traditions of the MAD Doctrine but it might be equally valid for China (PRC) to interpret all this as details of the US offensive capabilities for a first-strike invasion of PRC. This latter interpretation is one that Russia has believed for most of the last 75 years.

Here's my thought on the matter that I would just like to add if war breaks out between US and China. 1. Countries like Malaysia, Indonesia and the Philippines are likely to get dragged in this war since they already have a dispute against China who continuously oppresses its power against these countries in their 9 dash lines. 2. North Korea will see this an opportunity to engage South Korea thus joining forces with China. 3. The start of China vs US war will become a major war and highly to become a World War. China will try to obtain as many allies as it possibly can like Iran and Pakistan, any countries who dislikes US activities especially in the Middle East. 4. If other countries will try to join China, NATO will get dragged in this war which have 32 member states if I am not mistaken. Except for Turkey that is. 5. If NATO tries to intervene, Russia will also see this as an opportunity to display its full military capabilities joining hands with China and giving Russia a chance to fully declare war on NATO. 6. Hypothetically speaking, the Allied force will still win this war but it is highly that they will not take the risk of going war against 2 super power entity and if US foresees this, then it is highly possible that US will not defend Taiwan. It will just be like Ukraine VS Russia where NATO is just giving out military supplies to Ukraine. 7. The only countries who I think will remain neutral are smaller nations who are not affiliated with US and China, powerful countries like Turkey, India, Saudi Arabia, Egypt and other countries around Africa would remain neutral. 8. BUT, if Israel joins the war because of (see # 3) then countries like Egypt, Syria, Jordan, Iran, Iraq and Turkey will likely form a coalition army for a full scale invasion against Israel removing US military presence in the Middle East. I might just be imagining but whenever I think of a super power going to war, I feel like others will get dragged into it especially the US vs China situation. It will not be a China vs Taiwan, no other country would dare to go war with China for Taiwan (no offense) but US, who's main purpose is not to really defend Taiwan but to keep China in check. There is no denying that China is now the biggest threat to America and since it had grew into a powerful country, China and Russia is the only country that America could not dictate the two countries' mass production of military arsenal. Both US and China will try to drag every country that they can in this war thus making the world with only ONE MAJOR POWERHOUSE.

Would a submarine expert clarify this for me, correct me if I'm wrong, I heard diesel subs can be more stealthy which I'm doubting, but in my opinion a seawolf class sub although older compared to Virginia class newer subs, I think seawolf would still wipe the floor of any other attack sub in the world, kind of easily or am I wrong? I've heard we couldn't build another seawolf or f-22 for that matter if we wanted to based on manufacturing techniques not possible for various reasons anymore. Both cost a shit ton to develop and produce and both programs were cut short for different reasons. F-22 was no longer needed after cold war-no competition and still to this day. But I think we made a mistake with seawolf by heaping out and ending production. I F a expert could say if seawolf is missing upgradable technology that Virginia has or something would be helpful. If you know what your talking about please respond, I'm very curious on this. BTW if China wants to embarrass themselves on a monumental level go ahead give it a try dumbasses! Lol! @elmohead i didn't know that they bought the carrier from Ukraine, but it was still russian/ussr made. And you should probably fact check that they have 3 operational aircraft carriers. Cause I cannot find any source for that

@01taran 7 ай бұрын
@@lukedenbeaux6367 They don't. They have one operational, one undergoing upgrade/shakedown to deal with issues, and one under construction. Also, comparing those carriers to US Carriers is a bit misleading. 2 of the Chinese carriers are smaller, and to allow for rapid takeoff make use of the 'Ski-Jump' style decks. These decks are very effective, but have a set of trade-offs. The biggest of which is that the munitions loads are extremely limited while using them. One of them is Laioning, which is the one from Ukraine that was only 80% complete when sold to China. It's classmates have not fared particularly well in service for Russia or India, and it is pretty poorly engineered.

5121 did you put them inside of a tunnel so you can maintain them easier I was thinking to do that and to double case them so when there's a leak on an interior pipe we can have sensors notify us and block off that section and repair it before there's any damage to the environment.

Just a footnote: B-52s are designed to carry nuclear bombs, but they also are very good at laying sea mines. The US has upgraded its nautical mines, and a B-52 unit did a concept test off Hawaii earlier this year. Look where RAAF Tindal is, and at the sea lanes where the Chinese move their oil supplies. The B-52s can do a lot of damage without escalating to a nuclear exchange.
@nanbutinanquibotiqui
@nanbutinanquibotiqui 5 ай бұрын
The Chinese can also do a lot of damage to the B52s. America's aircraft carriers (today's dinosaurs) are sitting ducks for China's DF carrier killer hypersonic missiles. Don't think that the US military is invincible. Just remember the Titanic. And the US just lost the Afghanistan war and will soon lose the Ukraine war as was widely reported. The US fled Vietnam without winning the war in 1975. It was forced to a truce in the Korean war after the Chinese army pushed the US military out of North Korea. Don't think that the US military is superior - not at all. The US is good at talking big and bullying other countries.

The sea lanes are also use by Japan & Korea, and also commercial ships that move goods to South East Asia and beyond. Anyway, for oil, could easily come from Central Asia & Russia, via land & deserts right? BTW, these days nuclear bombs are carried by intercontinental ballistic missile and supersonic missiles, not planes.

@@cooper1819We are eyeing mod 13 for the B61, meant to be carried by the Raider. At the very least the US likes to keep the option of being able to drop nukes from planes if it needs to, even if it’s not the most likely method of delivery.

Small correction: the Franco-Australian submarine deal was not for nuclear submarines. It was for diesel submarines. Which explains the strategic reasoning behind breaking the agreement with the French: what they're getting from AUKUS is way more effective.

Well Burma would definitely sit this one out, and N Korea would probably refuse to assist china fearing further escalation and relocation of their troops from entrenched defense lines along the DMZ. Which they fear would weaken their power projection in the south

This channel has a good analysis of the envisioned war between China and the United States, and the various details of the navy of Chinese mainland and the navy of the United States are very detailed. Although I think that the reunification of Chinese mainland and Taiwan is not very likely at present, there is a high probability that Taiwan will return to China by 2050 and recreate the vast territory of the Qing Empire. Chinese mainland is not the Hitler Germany it once was, and China's leaders do not need to conquer Taiwan to sustain China's re-emergence, the world's largest consumer market, capable of giving birth to a rising national power similar to that of the United States in the 20th century. In the forties of the last century, did the United States need to conquer Japan in order to become the largest developed country in the world? It is not needed, so Chinese mainland does not need it today, or in other words, the current situation in the Taiwan Strait is not important to Chinese mainland, the United States, Japan, and the European Union, but it is important to Taiwan, which determines its return to the starting position of the Chinese Empire, whether as an insurrectionary army or a prisoner. Because once China and the United States go to war, whether they win or lose, the US military hegemony in the world will collapse, Iran in the Middle East, Russia in Europe, North Korea in Northeast Asia, and Venezuela in South America, these countries have long been dissatisfied with US interference in their core regions. Once a war breaks out in the Taiwan Strait, it will depend on whether the Americans are willing to lose their hegemony over the contradictions between Chinese mainland and Taiwan.

The political system of the United States determines that if the United States loses Taiwan in the war with China, I am afraid that it will directly hit the self-confidence of Americans and repeat the tragedy of the Vietnam War. COVID-2019 has shown everyone the strong mobilization capacity of Chinese mainland, and if you want to fight such a country of 1.4 billion people, I am afraid it will not be optimistic
