Really Big Surprise! This one is epic

Күн бұрынFollow along as Jose Uribe, a Northern California Commercial Queen Breeder and Beekeeper, and Max receive a shipment of 500 new styrofoam mini mating nucs from our supplier. Following this order, we intend to add on another additional 500 nucs but that is tenetively.
Jose briefly hints at an exciting epic project we have coming up involving the mating nucs. It is currently in the works and we will launch it in a few weeks. Jose then goes on to show and chat about the mini nucs.

If you are new to our channel, welcome! We are a small family owned and operated micro-commercial apiary located in Northern California. We've been commercial beekeeping for the past 13 years, but branched off and opened Uribe Honey Bees in January of 2019, and then launched our KZfaq channel in April of 2020. Russell, we are definitely praying for no bears or fire as well. We won't run our nucs in bear territory anymore, learned our lesson there but the hives are a different story! Fires on the other hand are their own beast! It will be interesting to see what 2022 brings!~ Thank you for the ongoing support! We see you!

Your boy is a natural. He does great explaining the weather and having lots of bees in the bee yard . Next generation of Beekeeper right there . I just filled the feeder jars for the first time this year . West coast and East coast beekeepers love !!!

Hi Shawn, great question! The bear damage happened in 2020 and we made up for the loss and also increased in 2021. This is another increase for the 2022 season... we will be running Qty 2000 nucs this year, maybe 2500 if it doesn't compromise our ability to offer excellent customer service and support. Hi Jose. I've enjoyed your videos and family businesses are the best businesses. The number one question I have is... Where is the forage for the nucs? Do you feed pollen sub with the feed? Do you have a price per queen in feed/sub? Do you anticipate an issue with supply chain effecting the price of everything that needs shipping? Rock on brother!

Craig, those are some great questions. We do not feed them pollen sub. We do give supplements through our feed. That doesn’t effect the price of the queens. The whole shipping cost of supply and even shipping cost of queens has gone up for us. That factor also doesn’t effect the price. What effects the price is our investment into breeder queens so that we can produce high quality queens. The experienced workforce that we hire to help with the production of our queens. Nice! Like your son's remango. What are the tradeoffs between the mini and dual mating nucs?

With the minis you need less resources but a tighter schedule because of the size. The larger needs more resources but wood nucs get weathered and the integrity of the wood can cause issues with leakers when installing
