Really easy! Install an outside power outlet

Great price! and Really easy to Install a weatherproof power outlet / twin socket for €13 in about an hour. This was an easy project to do and means that I now have an outside socket for garden use. The walls are made of concrete blocks and I had no problem drill through with my 18v makita sds drill. I mounted the new socket directly outside an existing internal socket and used only a couple of feet of cable with no wires showing.

Good video. Only thing I would add, is that these outdoor sockets usually have a small hole at the bottom, you knock out to allow moisture to escape.

Gerry, things here in the States are pretty much the same. Our household power is120 volts, 60 Hz. For an appliance such as a clothes dryer, our voltage is 240, as you may know. Our electrical boxes are grey PVC, as well as the plastic conduit.we have a circuit protection system called Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter (GFCI) for outlets in the bathroom, the kitchen, in the garage, and outdoors, etc. For plugging an ordinary table lamp in does not require this device. Also, some circuit breakers have a GFCI setup in them as well. We also have a protective sleeve for wires in metal conduit. You might have know this, but there again, you might not.

1. Welcome back we’ve missed you. 2. Nice job but it’ll never work, the plug holes are the wrong shape and pointing in the wrong direction. 3. If you ever wanted to be an Aussie sparky you have to let all your drill dust and wire trimmings fall right into the carpet then kind of grind it all in with your feet. Cheers.
