my subwoofer plays down to exactly 28 Hz but it's basically a dead frequency because the lowes tone is 28 Hz. and it's not really bass ;(

Rocket League Experts it's very low frequency bass you would need a properly tuned system and a good box to be able to play anything in the 20-30hz properly range like most car audio enthusiast like myself are into... standard audio set ups usually don't play anything under 30hz because they are tuned for all types of music because most songs standard don't even go below 30hz lowest most songs go down to is around 32hz and up that would be why you like the middle of it more because there there are more higher notes of bass in that part of the song so you could probably play those parts alot better but thanks man

dude I Love this rebass i have one 15'' jbl sub on 500 Watt Rms only i can play between 30hz and 40hz but i want to be able to play between 20hz and 30hz do you know to how many hz i should port my box to? cause its a closed encloser now and i want it to play between 20hz and 30hz

PyroTimeBitch If you want to play 20hz you'll have to tune very low I always suggest if it isn't a huge system and it's a daily system tune it from 28-32hz you'll be able to hit lows pretty well as well as high frequencies plus unless all you listen to is rebass music most songs won't even touch 28hz normally if the box you have it in now is a sealed enclosure putting a hole in the box as a port probably won't help it I always say take a day and build a custom box and tune it to you're liking and specs of the sub a good website for new people to understand box specs and how to build a ported box with plans for free would be re audios box calculation you design the box to the size you want and tweak the port and stuff to change the air space and tuning frequency just make sure to take in to account for the displacement of your sub air space in the box reaudio.com/box.php here is the website
