Hi Kaitlyn. Yes your rug and slippers are so cute!!! They're the 1st two things I noticed aside from your "really big plants"😅. Excellent video as they all are. Your personality draws me in every time. I have (1) spider plant that has been challenging until I began to use distilled water. Until your video, I didn't know there are a variety of spider plants. Our local go-to big box store sells the average. However, I'm going to go to a specialty nursery where I'm sure I can lock into beautiful ones you recently acquired. That new plant stand is stylish as well. Keep up the good content. You are a joy😊

@@reallybigplant I'm quite sure I will. The nursery is called Valley View Farms for any viewers in MD area. My goodness, you can't catch a break with the high price of pots. I'm into plant rescue as well. At this nursery, they don't display sales and definitely any plant on clearance. I've discovered them by browsing my butt off and leaving a happy camper. Love your channel. Try clear bins/lid, with wheels on them to move your soil bucket around the house, no lifting required or if kept outside buy mini wheelie bins🌴💗

Your HomeGoods is just like our HomeSense I just went and bought 7 big pots at 20$ or less a piece, so varied and gorgeous. Love that store. Got one huge one for my 3.5 foot tall curly draceana that is a giant strawberry, 🍓 with a big green plant coming out of it now is my fav. A giant strawberry in my living space! My big monstera had a rootball like your palm, I wish I’d known at the time about root pruning, I didn’t feel like the plant size equated to the concrete giant rootball I’m addicted to your sciencey explanations!!! Love learning about my plants!!! My Thai’s variegation is white, not cream, interesting. I’ve got similar “bath mats” in my living space, shaped like leaves, love them so much. With using slow release fertilizer pellets, do you also use a liquid fertilizer when watering? I just also bought a black bat flower plant, I hope I get flowers!!

Love your plant shopping haul videos. And then able to see you repot them afterwards to get more in depth of the plants. In the past I could not purchase clear nursery pots where i live when i started collecting plants 3 years ago. Only last year the Elho brand started having them last year. I like to be able to see the roots and if it needs watering aswell. Been a life changer since switching into them. Then i use decorative pots outside. You could do the same too. I don’t re use the nursery pots that the plants come in there usually in nasty soils. And i could not bother washing them and the quality is usually very fragile aswell easily break. I am very sentimental with my decorative ceramic pots so i don’t plant the plants straight into them.

I was admiring the striking Rio behind you and thought you must have spent a ton on it! I have wanted one for a few years as well, but did not want to spend $$$ on a tiny plant as I really only like bigger plants. Thank you for letting us know it was from the Home Depot! Yay finally! Hello new plant mom your plants are beautiful. Love your hair color. Where did you get the ball fertilizer balls? Do they work well? I garden outside, but it's cold Nevada. You can plant the palm outside😂. We have those palms planted in front of our church. They grow much bigger than 6 feet.

Yes this palm would almost certainly rather grow outside 😊💜 so wonderful your church has nice greenery outside 🥰 there are a lot of extremely similar looking palms (most of them look the same to me tbh 😅) but if they’re getting super tall with big trunks they’re probably a different species💜

my thai con missed the coco pole with every root lmao, it's just a little too narrow. watch out for that. i'm gonna use a plank next repot. also, i really like the way you translate the binomial names

I got a similar cat palm from Lowes and i wash it every Sunday and douse with neem oil and cannot get rid of tje spider mites! I dont know what to do anymore, might have to toss it 😢

😭😭😭 we’re in it together, mine has been suspiciously droopy since repotting and I thought it was just transplant shock but I just noticed yesterday that the spider mites are BADDDD like they’re visible from 10 feet away 😭🫠 I haven’t taken any action yet, currently just feeling panicked about it lol. I’m gonna be trying to save it in my coming videos (next one will be a shopping vid I think but after that) My advice is to keep doing what you’re doing with the neem oil if you still have the plant, maybe try a round of captain jack’s deadbug spray. Wipe the leaves with a soapy or neem oil-y towel to get in all those grooves on the undersides of the fronds if possible. I plan to set up a humidifier right under mine today until I get around to washing it because the mites hate the ambient moisture though idk if that will do much at this point And if you do end up tossing it don’t feel too bad, palms are so mite-y sometimes. I only bought mine because the price was cheap enough that if I end up tossing it, i wont be too upset bc it didn’t cost that much Sorry you’re dealing with this! Do you have to use a pole for the Thai? I don’t have one and can,t find a coir pole anywhere 🧐

Nah they don’t really need a pole…it’s funny bc I normally don’t like using poles and then I gave one to the Thai which doesn’t really need it lol. I’ve seen people growing them in a way where they grow horizontally in a pot, even really big ones. Since mine started small and the stem has been thickening up relatively fast near the newer growth, I wanted to support it because the stem seems weaker and narrower at the base. And having support does encourage larger leaves faster 💜😊🌿✨ I’ll check if I can find a link for the pole I used

Ok so the pole I used in this video came in a set that looks like it doesn’t exist on Amazon anymore but here is a kit that looks very similar amzn.to/48ziXjn I like them because the inner pole is plastic instead of wood so they don’t rot I also added some other coir/plastic pole options here: amzn.to/3PjjoHZ 😊💜

Love your plants. Love the rugs😊 and slippers🥰but your head banging music drives me crazy. Watching someone post up a plant is relaxing until the music starts ugh . Please let us hear water, dirt being mixed etc and save yourself from some work in editing and please leave the music out. Still enjoy you and your sweet energy.
