@RichardGutierrezRG......right there with ya bro, Jon's a stud interviewer. Maybe at least partly because he's an actor himself, you can literally see him leaning-in - totally into what they're saying. Cool thing is, it's contagious. Sean Penn back in his day was completely gaga for another stud actor of his generation.....Mickey Rourke (Mickey was killing it with classic 80's flicks like..... 'Diner', Rumble Fish', '9 1/2 weeks' etc.. Flip the script, Mickey was gaga for his acting buddy at the time Eric Roberts when they did 'Pope of Greenwich Village' together etc.) The Shia LaBeouf interview is easily, hands-down one my ATF interviews on KZfaq. Keep-up the great work Jon....proud of ya brother.. Love & Respect_______mykey from toronto

There were tensions between them and they both knew it. You could cut the air with a knife.. Incredible men. I bet they called their wives saying “they had to work overtime…” We all know what happened during this hour… A lot of regrets but unimaginable pleasure. Mil Ret here. I didn't give 2 sh*ts about anyone in front of me! ADM's/GEN's, President's, actors. Some found it refreashing, while others noses went up. It was basic "who the F are you?, do you know what I do?" without the attitude of course. Just do your job, then shut the F up. Some would push back the brass just to talk with me, cause I was real. Remember..."FAN" means...Fanatic! of which I don't partake. Who was the worst?: Sam Donaldson (news). Best?: Marylynn Quale (yes, that one, sharp and understanding). Spelling, sorry. T. Cruise was cool, but A. Edwards had respect. Soo many more to list but one last shout-out...Big Mac, CAG, west coast, 90's. He loved his swimmers (job).

Penn & Bernthal nailed it in what's going on mostly in show business. You can't force diversity by peer pressure; it looks unnatural. Instead of diversifying, it's dividing.

what does FORCE mean? For example, they had a Black woman play a Sith on a Star Wars show, and people LOST THEIR MINDS, if it was a White person that had orange polka dot skin would be okay and not forced? IF every role GOOD role is given to a White actor people don't notice but If a Black person who is a great actor gets a role, they say ITS an agenda, White Supremacy is an Agenda, not a Black actor getting gigs, IN the 90s almost all the jobs were given to rappers or singers and Black actors had even fewer opportunities and i bet none of you even noticed that,
@JeremySolomon
@JeremySolomon 7 ай бұрын
I was with them (and you) up until the “you can’t force diversity“ bit. If somebody - anybody - is not comfortable with the [amount of] diversity that is being shown across the spectrum of entertainment… I think there’s something wrong with that individual. On a personal, psychological level. If you don’t like diversity, it’s not as simple as not watching it or avoiding it. Folks like that have blinders on to the entire rest of the world. All in favor of some kind of white-bread, no-culture, bullshit ideal. There is nothing exceptional or exciting about a lack of diversity. It should’ve always been diverse. But because it hasn’t been, people are pissed because they’re given a choice that they don’t even understand. And, of course, when you have to pick a side, it’s always political. Now, having said that - the reason Disney, for example, ain’t doing so well is because people are tired of seeing the same damn stories over and over again. If diversity really was treated like the divining rod IT IS, there should be more attention-to-detail in scripts across the board. But - it’s all about money. Hence, the very last line in the video: “we’re giving away magic to machines“.

Er........., Marlon Brando, James Dean, Steve McQueen ,Orson Welles, Robert Mitchum - to name a few, as you've labeled Penn, Bad Boys who were certainly there before him, and probably more deserving of your fatuous label than he is (you know, when Hollywood was run by, in your term, The Original Gangsters). You only have to look at that pile of b.shit - American Gigolo - that Jon has just put out (what Ego do you have to say Yes to that? ) and of course he's going to be in awe of Penn. Plastic doesn't begin to place him.

@@apoch003 Here we go I worded that wrong its Obvie !!!! Sean Penn wasn't the first bad boy of Hollywood🤦‍♂️ he was definitely the bad boy of the 80s theres no doubt about that if you no anything about cinema,Obviesly there's the originator's like Steve Cochran see you probably only no who that is because of Google lol starred in one my favourite movies he played the heavy in White Heat up against the fantastic James Cagney, Robert Mitcham, an of course the one an only Marlon Brando then later on came along Steve MacQueen Dennis Hopper, Jack Nicholson, an theres a lot more I could throw in amongst them!! But we're talking about the man Jon is interviewing it was basically a figure of speech but you always get someone who wants to sit behind there computer an knows it all .Without a doubt Sean Penn became one of the biggest actors an a really good one at that there was his bust ups with then wife Madonna he cut her hair off an beat her to the point wen the police got there she was unrecognisable "Allegedly" In Brian De Palma's "Casualties of War "theres a seen were he has to slap John Leguisamo with Penn being a method Actor De Palma took 17 takes I remember Leguisamo talking about it on a night time Penn was hitting his face so hard he couldn't see for a week an they didn't even use the scene in the movie ,also in Casualties of War he thought it would be a good idea too bully Michael J Fox from day one till the end he refused to be around him wen they weren't shooting, am to me it really worked wen you watch it!! On the set of Colours him an Robert Duvall were getting ready for a scene and he noticed a guy taking pictures of the 2 legends. Penn ended up letting that violent side out an had to be pulled of this guy .he also done jail time in the 80s but I'm not sure exactly wat it was for .he almost killed Woody Harralson,they were working together on a movie " now I could be googling this so it sounds a lot better but I refuse to ,I love movies an I remember a lot anyway they were playing practicle jokes on each other every day but Penn took it to far an told woody there was something wrong with the 4×4 the were in on the way to work woody got out an tried to push him an Penn took off leaving Woody in the desert an night time was kicking in he had no food or water or anything to protect himself. Lucky an extra drove by an picked him up ,god knows what woody would of went threw .I remember him lighting a cigarette up on the tonight show ,an he'd been told not to ..ohh I could go on look at the flack he took for interviewing El Chapo too , I'm sure he done another sentence in prison for beating a paparazzi guy up too in the 80s .....so I hope that proves my point, of course there were loads before Penn "Oliver Reed "then you had Robert Downey Jr Colin Farral that kept it going ..I just like the way Jon is in his element. Because people can say wat they want about Sean Penn he's an absolute amazing actor!!!

I first saw Bernthal in Wind River- he was in maybe three scenes but, man, he was GOOD. He had that quality really great actors have. I then saw him as Ewan McGregor's literary sgent un The Ghost - agsin, very few scenes but just marvellous. I hadn't had that reaction to an actor since seeing Mickey Rourke for the first time in Diner, way back in 1984. It was the scene where Mickey's character Boogie goes to Shrevie's -Daniel Stern's - house and yhe door is answered by his wife, Beth (Ellen Barkin). It turns into a very tender, moving scene and I just knew. Mickey was going to be a HUGE actor.

Hell, recently, the cops who fired on a handcuffed suspect because he thought HE was being fired on-keep in mind he personally patted the suspect down, placed him in handcuffs, and put him in the back of a squad vehicle-just to find out a squirrel threw an acorn at the car beside him and he thought that sound was a gun round. Somehow, a gun round from the suspect he JUST handcuffed. He screamed, "I've been shot!" and he and his backup unloaded on the vehicle the suspect was in. LUCKILY, the suspect survived.

How did he see a reflection of his gun if he's doing a so called "quick peek". Also by the time you're pulling your head back, if a gun was pointed at you in anticipation, you're dead.

They did believe it or not. The Professor and The Madman. It was in 2019. It was a decent drama. I caught it on Netflix the year after during the pandemic.

Sean Penn is truly unselfish for all that he has to done to help those in need. Say what you want about actors and celebrities. But the truth is their popularity and star power is some of the greatest currency they have. Cause like anyone else who comes from wealth and means it is extremely useful in paying it forward.

Great story. Lesson learned 😮 Social justice should be organic, rather than the overriding reason for attack. Bullying people for their remarks is causing so much injustice, the irony hurts. Disagreeing to your own platform is the appropriate response, rather than social media pile-ons on theirs. This kind of social media violence is why South Korean celebrities commit suicide.

What Sean Penn said at the end about the magic of films being decreased and handed over to "Machines"............this is spot on. Ever since the academy issued its list of criteria for films to be nominated for oscars, films have lost their magic. You have studios now making these movies that are completely inert and hollow and thats because they are being directed by the diversity, equity and inclusion officer. I recently saw "Wonka" and I found it soul destroying. Every scene was constructed with the politically correct ratio of black, asian, and indian actors. I was very surprised that they didnt make willy wonka a blue haired lesbian. These people are killing creativity and the art of film making. Its straight from the pit of hell.
