Hi There, I would say that you could definitely use the images from the Realsee for 3D Vista, and also the 3D model. I have found that the models tend to need a bit of tidying up in Blender but this is the same with all Lidar scanning models. You do still use credits to export the photos and models from the Realsee server though.

The black Galois represents the first generation with 8K resolution, while the grey one signifies the second generation boasting 16K resolution.

Yes you can download the point cloud data in E57 and PLY, you can also download the model itself in OBJ, FX, GLTF and GLB. The downloads are done through the Realsee Console.

They both do the same job, but in a very different way. Sorry, not sure what you mean by too much fisheye? Galois looks completely different to Pro 3, and has a lot of benefits over its competition.

In this review I was comparing it to the Matterport Pro 3, and I can safely say that the results I have had with the Galois have been amazing. Of course each to their own, however I feel that there is a lot more freedom with Realsee when it comes to exporting images for editing (if needed), and also exporting point cloud data and models for adjustment in Blender. It is also WAY cheaper to use when compared to the crazy prices that MP charge for hosting.

@@AndresSeeman It's like comparing a Kia(Galois) to a Lexus(Matterport). The colors and user experience are inferior to Matterport and the longer scanning time is unacceptable. Many improvements needed to compete with and overtake Matterport. We will see.

Did you watch the video? Yes it has a cloud option, but having the ability to export images at full resolution is a game changer! Then you can host your tours using whatever 360 software you want, and host it yourself.

@@NickPowellPhotography With 3D Vista it only makes sense to have the 3D model and then use it as a tour. Then the investment is also worthwhile. Have you tested this? Did you take any outside shots? Feel free to send me the 3D model. Then I'd test it. Otherwise, I'll take better shots with my cam.

@@pixxmedia3698 Returning to the subject - I tested the workflow with Galois M2. 1. Taking photos in the apartment - 15 minutes. 2. Downloading the object in any format (OBJ, FBX, GLTF, GLB, floor plans, 360 panoramas) - 6 clicks. 3. Uploading 360 panoramas to 3dvista, uploading the floor plan to 3dvista, and uploading the GLTF model to 3dvista, with their processing, took around 25 minutes in total. Let's assume that scanning a 3D apartment, transferring it to 3Dvista, connecting the points, uploading it to the server, and getting it up and running takes approximately 1 hour of work. WOW! I wonder how much time it would take to do the same with a regular camera, photogrammetry, and other technologies? I don't want to make any definitive statements here. While the quality of photos taken with a regular camera appears to be better, Galois doesn't lag behind in photo quality and simultaneously generates a volume of materials that an ordinary photographer can only dream of. Here's an example of this work in 3dvista: turysta3d.pl/3dtest/ When I look at the model, I'm still shocked by how it looks! It looks even better than the photogrammetry models in your portfolio (which you have on your website), and it was created only from 30-second scans. I didn't even use full scans here! ---- Before I write more, let me make this clear: I do not recommend anyone to buy Galois; in fact, I strongly advise against buying it! I don't need efficient and fast competition in the market :). However, to be honest, if someone calls me from Germany, I'll get in my car and drive to Berlin in about 4 hours. Even though I'm the most expensive in my market, I will complete the project for your client in Germany: - 10 times faster, - take 4 times less money, - and paradoxically generate 3 times more profit than you, who use expensive photogrammetry software, spend a long time on post-processing panoramas and 3D objects, and combining them into a virtual tour, etc. 😉

As I have kids I didn't want to show my whole house, however I am going to be doing an update video soon on some of the updates to the software since this video was recorded, and also sharing things like the full tour, and going through how images can be edit and then re-imported.

I am afraid that you are incorrect, Galois is $5499 and you get hosting included for 200 tours. Matterport camera is more expensive on its own, then hosting for the same amount of tours is over $12.5k!! Then you have to pay for floorplans, Galois floor plans are included. Galois Overall Price - $5499 Matterport Price - $21,540 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️

Matterport 2 pro is only $3,395 $5500 for 200 tours for a year You can have thousands as you archive older tours Floor Plans $15 if you need them. $5499 plus all other things... $2999 gets you 200 tours for only 6 months, because you use Credits, and for the year isn't that $5998 The Free plan benefits won't be forever @@NickPowellPhotography

Very true, you get a lot more freedom with Realsee than you do with Matterport.

It's not about upsetting, it's about facts. Matterport has better image quality in native player, faster scanning, switchable batteries, can scan outdoors also. The only benefit for Realsee is 16k image for export.

@@mantasvaiciunas Well you can't have watched the video, as unfortunately your facts are wrong. Image Quality - This is debatable, I find MP way too saturated. But the benefit of Galois is you can export, edit and reimport images to your own taste, DNG support coming soon as well. Faster Scanning - Galois 25s vs Pro 3 20s, barely noticeable. Batteries - Both have interchangeable batteries Outdoors - Both scan Outdoors, however as Galois has a more powerful Lidar, you don't need as many scans.
