Hidden Secrets of The Royal Kitchen (Royal Family Documentary) | Real Stories
Former Royal Chef Graham Newbould who was once a chef on the Royal Yacht Britannia for the Queen reveals what goes on in the kitchens of the famous House of Windsor.
From TV suppers at Buckingham Palace, to poached salmon caught and cooked at the Royal Family’s Scotland retreat at Balmoral, Graham shows the viewers how to cook food fit for a Queen. He goes back on board the Royal Yacht Britannia where he makes good use of the Royal ice cream machine, and even recreates the wedding breakfast he helped serve up for the Prince of Wales and Princess Diana. He also gives a fascinating insight into the day-to-day food in a Palace - from eight sided cucumber sandwiches to a special dish of liver and rice, a firm favourite with the ever-present Royal corgis.

This is one of the best chefs ive ever seen, man just walked into a decommissioned yacht galley and made 5 star meals fit for royalty just to show the camera how it was done. Gotta respect the knowledge and the pride in his work.

He's a good chef (I'm a chef myself) but in actual fact what he's doing is straight forward set in stone methods and recipes found in a lot of classical recipe books. Simply follow the recipe steps to the letter and you'd be able to do it too. It's making your own recipes that taste as good that takes skill and doing it to order etc. Therefor the fella is good yes but at what he does here, maybe not as a chef like me working at creating dishes and cooking fresh to order, who knows? I do like classic cookery mind and he has skill there's absolutely no doubt, he must have had a brigade there too, doubt it'd just be one chef.

With the modesty of a true master this chef explains and demonstrates the classic French kitchen. I once was the youngest qualified female chef in Amsterdam. Started my education at 16. Seeing all those wonderful dishes being created without pressure of the restaurant rush and limitations of budget makes me envious and feeling nostalgic. Thank you so much for uploading.

HI Nancy, maybe the royal chef Graham Newbould will continue cooking for King Charles the 111 and now Queen Carmillia too. In the castles and homes alike. For special guests when coming to visit and talk business with them too. Maybe do some sightseeing under police guard and protection aswell? Who knows what goes on in their lives? Anyway got to keep somethings private from the press I guess too? From Valerie in Oban Argyll. Scotland. UK.

The large noble estates are run incredibly efficiently; they take the growing of their fruits and vegetables, and the raising of their live stock very very seriously. Their ways of farming, and animal raising and breeding is used as a model. I think we can be absolutely sure that nothing goes to waste; it would be donated, composted, used in any way that it can be.

Monsanto alone is going to save millions of lives. One of my rules in life is to compare no one to Hitler. I have three exceptions. Joseph Stalin and Mao killed more people than Hitler. Richard Mahoney, the CEO who turned Monsanto into a biotech company may have saved more lives than the world's most evil men took. The guy should be added to Mount Rushmore.

I'm finding that the two World Wars really had an impact on how the Windors' eat. Early rulers were (in)famous for not just their feasts, but what they ate alone or with immediate family. Edward VII was rather wasteful in a lot of ways with food, but his son George V, having lived in the Navy most of his life, had a much more restrictive diet, allowing him to adjust to rationing in ways I doubt his father could handle.

You really should learn how Roman numeration, thus Royal lineage works. VII is '7', while V is '5'. Last I checked 5 precedes 7, but please do correct me if I'm wrong...😂

@justsayin5609. Correcting you; It's EDWARD VII & GEORGE V. The 7th king named Edward & the 5th king named George. Not going from 7 to 5.

He was their chef in the 80s. The standards back then were far from what they are today. (Crew) Cabins have come a long way since then but for the 80s his cabin was fairly nice especially because it was actually really spacious for a crew cabin.

Mztrue87 they may well personally love it.......but bad breath is not something a Queen can have. Same with the tomato sauce.....one drop on her clothing and the mystique is shattered. Her job is to be Britain's ultimate diplomat and often her formal meetings with the great and good from around the world will involve the serving of food......so the technical consideration is more important than a personal taste. The Duchy Originals range makes great use of wild garlic so I'd imagine Charles has a liking for it. Fun Fact, Prince Charles is through his father's ancestry.....descended from Vlad 'The Impaler' Dracula. 100% true.

@@jobsmandem2314 Got that right. They should support themselves as they can well afford it. The Royals fashion show every time you see a post when you know how hard many British have it is sickening. The English Royals ar from German blood. Tourist trade and reason I will not visit there again. Read we are paying a huge debt to them that they will not let us pay off. A war debt as they get big interest. And sent my daughter my racoon coat which I made a new liner and had it sewn with her intiial, looked like new. Daughter said animal skins out, and after I bought it agreed but it was already dead years earlier. Very warm and light. She lived there one chilly winter and the tax dept in England demanded I pay a tariff. Told them to tell the Queen to keep it as I would not send her one pence. Daughter did't want it anyway but the f'ing nerve of the tax department. A personal gift Greedy royals make me sick, and they should turn over all their assets to the British as all of it obtained while "ruling" as the Khazar Jews are involved with Britain too.
