10 years on - *still using a 10 degree tilt?* Another insightful, useful video. Thank you Peter. I made rustic stool of remarkably similar design last year, before seeing this. So this video series really resonated with me. My stool was (intentionally and somewhat by necessity) less refined, made in a "vernacular" style without a lathe and retaining some tool marks. It has a handmade charm. But I may recall it to tweak a few details now! :D

Very nice that you pointed out that 10º design feature. Its amazing what some angles do to our postures. I just made a sofa with 7º inclination from H and its way more comfortable than regular sofas I've seated on, my back feels relaxed.

56TonyT, since Peter hasn't got back to you on this, maybe I can be of some help. The wooden parts you probably have already figured out. He turned a cylinder, then put a nice taper on one end. He drilled the straight end for the T bar. He then sawed a slot in the taper for the reamer cutter. He made the cutter probably from an old saw blade. I'm guessing he sharpened both edges like a scraper. You file a burr on the edge and then sharpen it on the stone. Hope that helped.

Do you have any information on how the reamer is made? Do you have a video to guide someone thru the process of making this tool at home? It looks simple but the details not very good on your video and the volume is low too. (FYI)
