When you pull the axles out do you just let them hang or did you support them? I feel like the axle seals might take a hit.

The end of the axles are actually pretty light without the brake assembly. I haven't had any leaks using this technique

Sounds good. Thanks for reply. Great video!

85-150 is that because you have air lockers

That was what ECGS recommended when I did the core swap for their regear cores. It's definitely a much thicker oil which probably helps with the 4 wheeling and the larger stresses from the bigger tires

Have you thought about switching to disk brakes?

What year of rear end could I use and is it much better
@sariego99 ай бұрын
@@smokegonzales2605 you could upgrade to a land cruiser rear, look for the diamond brand housing . They are 9.5 inches

@sariego9 I have thought about it but I haven't done too deep of research yet. I saw they had full conversion kits for like $2K the last time I was browsing. Do you have rear disks already? I'll have to pick your brain then if you do!

@@KFloTacoma No , but I was looking into it too

@@KFloTacoma yes, my brain is fairly lean for picking. But yes, when I went to the dana60 I threw on the sosmotorsports conversion kit, and told ECGS to just leave off the backing plate. I got the version that uses the miniature drum brake inside, to preserve the e brake. Apparently it's off of an fjcruiser, so you can get spare parts. The brakes work really well. The ebrake, not so much but I should adjust it better
