Such lovely presents. I love that you accept these old treasures the way they are. The wonky ones with bits missing were once the most beloved toys and they deserve to still be loved and used. Everyone can buy new stuff or replicas but these don't have the same charisma. The German Umlauts are awful for any English speaking person, I know. Grödnertal is pronounced a bit like "gray dnare tall". 🤓 I loved the snoring of Sunny cat.♥️ 2 of my cats died last year (16 and 18 years old) and one of them was snoring like Sunny. I really miss that sound. 😻

Lovely pieces .It’s nice your trying to keep it 1920 but don’t forget people had older things handed down from others to help them set their houses up too…I am loving it so far though ,it’s really cosy 🥰

You both have such fun collecting and sourcing your treasures it makes me want to have a doll house too! My parents bought a house built before the Civil war when I was 10 and the heirs only wanted the furniture and antiques, so everything in the attic and basement we could keep. The property also had small buildings that were used for storage and most of them were left intact right up to the 70's when we moved in. I remember finding doll dishes and broken doll heads outside in the garden and in the barn, there was wrapped up fabric and books. I think this is why I have an appreciation for old toys and ephemera-I make Christmas stockings from vintage fabric scraps and I still have some rescued pieces from the old house I like to incorporate. It was interesting to know that the doll plates were from the 20s-I think somewhere I still have a few of those. I haven't thought about that time for a while. Thank you for sharing your talents and creations.

I ❤️ love ❤️ the dolls. You have had a good start to the new year . Maybe a few twigs cut up for logs for the fire place ? and crushed up coloured chalk/paint or do I mean charcoal? I'm trying to recall an old memory of doll house making but you get my drift. I bet your glad sunny is sleeping peacefully and not destroying your dollshouse ha ha . You mentioned the Grodnertal doll. The Grödnertal is a valley in south Tyrol. Northern Italy. A long time ago I was on holiday in the area. Very beautiful. you find alot of woodcarving traditions in the area.

So lovely to see your dolls house again Fleur and with all the new additions. You must stick your tiny things down with the Tacky Wax then they won't fall off when you move the furniture. I have still got this horrid cold but I am back to making things again if not painting. I think I mentiuoned before that I had that lead cat and kittens but I think my son lost the kittens when he used them in his farm animals in the 70's. They were bought in Dolly Wingers in South Woodford and I had a chicken broody coop with a chicken in and chicks. You had lovely presents from Kate are we going to see what you bought Kate?? I laughed when you wondered where all the little things disappeared years ago..my sister and I would lose our dollies shoes and tiny toys down the radiator in our playroom lol..oh, I just thank you so for bringing such fun and delight with the ever evolving dollhouses!

I so love seeing your Grodnertal dolly. Queen Victoria and her nurse dressed dolls just like that for Victoria's dolls house, when she was a child. There's a book about it...probably several. Thanks for this adorable video. It leaves a little Christmas feeling in my heart. The bed with this tiny shoes in front is so,so cute🥰. I’ve also made a little Christmas diorama for my home decoration. For the fireplace log fire I used small splinters from a red christmas ball, that unfortunately fell down. Above I arrange some wooden sticks and it glow like a real embers. Perhaps an idea for your new fireplaces. Have a great new year too…thanks for sharing
