This series is exactly what every beginner needs to watch. I've been looking around in Reason for a few weeks now and only created an enormous pile of frustration and confusion. I was able to follow his steps exactly, then go back after every couple steps and feel comfortable making my own sounds with my new knowledge. He does an amazing job of showing you the what and the why. After each video I feel much more confident in what I'm doing. Thank you very much Thomas. This is such a gift. I look to pay it forward ome day soon.

Same, I've always been fascinated by Reason but went the FL route instead, which I think for me was a mistake. Used to track a lot in the 90s/00s, time to get back on the horse. Thanks Thomas!

Great stuff Thomas - extremely helpful - one stupid question, Im following this track creation & all going well, but at 22 mins when you open the redrum, I don't see the individual drums in the sequencer, so cant add the kick and snare etc in the way thaty you do - I can add them from the rack using the pads in the redrum, but I wanted to see them visually in the sequencer - what am I missing? lol (have seen a few online comments of others with this issue, but so far no resolution) many many thanks

I found them - the individual sample rows were hidden below the multilanes row - made visible with the expanander arrows on the extreme right :) Dang!

To make a vocal recording in ReasonStudio, you will need a microphone and an audio interface connected to your computer. Follow the steps below: Create a new audio track by clicking on the "+" icon in the mixer window and selecting "Create Audio Track". In the track's input section, select the input source that corresponds to your microphone. Arm the track for recording by clicking on the record button on the track. Press the record button in the transport bar to start recording. After you have finished recording, press the stop button in the transport bar to stop recording. You can edit your recording by double-clicking on the audio clip in the sequencer window and using the editing tools in the audio editor that appears. You can also apply effects to your recording by adding them to the audio track's insert section in the mixer window. Remember to adjust your microphone's gain and placement to get the best possible sound quality before recording.

Anyone know if we can change the menus color from white to black or grey ?I have a bad eye site and the white menus are hurting me.I am on windows 10

Go to Reason/Preferences/Appearance/Theme and change options are Default, Blue or Dark. Restart Reason and you're good to go.

Hello Thomas, Im a bit confused to how did the Dr Octo rex electronic drums patterns look the same way as your amazona bass track. That certainly does not look like the copy pattern to track from the dr octo rex. Or was the amazona track copied to the electronic drums track?

Hi Ivan, No, the electronic Drums Play on their own ( because of the run button) In the Next Part of this Series I explain this More auch n Detail!

@@ThomasFostermusicproduction Ok but it looked though it was playing a pattern because in the video you replaced the amazon bass for the electronic drums and said you will be bring back the amazona bass near the end of the video.
