Section 382.603 requires motor carriers to ensure that all driver supervisors receive at least one hour of training on the signs and symptoms of alcohol use and another hour of training on drug use. This training is used to determine whether reasonable suspicion exists to order a DOT-mandated drug/alcohol test for regulated drivers. In this video, we discuss the specific requirements and preview Trucksafe's own online reasonable suspicion supervisor training course, available at www.trucksafeacademy.com.
