Awesome...make sure to do your research. CR is great...but a LOT of people come and and then leave after a couple years when they realize it is NOT what they thought. I have been doing my research since March 2020. I have watched your videos. Michael Allen's videos. And Sarah Elena's videos. I feel that I am prepared for another country, another culture, and another language. I'm going for 3 months during rain season to see if Costa Rica is what I'm looking for in my retirement

The chemicals that they spray on food contaminate the soil for how many years? I think everyone should out these people. The older I get, the more I cant stay quiet....says my wife....haha

I understand completely. I am the same and because I am in the public eye so much...I have to be careful HOW I say it. People don't realize how BAD these chemicals are. Our property has not had any chemicals on it in the lsat 16 years...as far as I know...so hopefully, we are in a good situation.

thanks guys fun and informative video. i'm a beach boy always thought of living on the pacific coast of CR i'm thinking the altitude may be nicer and drive to the surf. can you get the cooler weather and maintaining a 30 minute drive to the beach?

Yes....you can find several place like you describe. One is if you want to live near Dominical Beach, Great surfing...fishing etc, but the road going from Dominical up to San Isidro Del General is only a one hour trip. In the middle is Tinamaste...and a favorite gringo place. It's way up, cool and only 30 min from the beach.

I’ve started my research on CR , I’m in the US , lived in 3 different states 3 different climates , im looking nature and tranquil lifestyle , I’ve been researching all different areas , I’m looking for close to beach , nearby shops (necessities gas, supermarket , doctor, cafes & boutiques ) I live in small slow paced town now where I have to travel at least 30 minutes for most things, I have necessities (doctor , gas, food , post office in my town) mall is an hour from me now (metro area) … I lived city life (NYC & rural) would like to stay rural but not hours from metro any areas you can suggest

How is the mosquito situation?

I most parts of CR, you shouldn't have to worry about mosquitos. The mosquitos were much worse in Louisiana than here. We only have a few here and really don't need that bug net, but it only takes ONE to keep you awake. Because CR doesn't have a lot of sitting water, not many mosquitos. If you make sure your land doesn't have water issues you will be fine. The ONLY place I've had a LOT of problems with Mosquitos is on the edge of the beach. They will tote you away there. LOL
