It's absolutely not weird? You might not have that many friends so it's easier to only say their first names but imagine if u had two friends named Tom then it's hard. So for sooo many people watching and you know, they could be talking about anyone. Do you know how many people have a name no one else has? Pretty close to nobody.

i don’t think they are on the same level as popularity, just because tom hasn’t had as many different roles compared to timmy. tom is still widely known for spider-man, while timothée is known for many roles. also, timothee has a bigger stance in hollywood.
