Reba McEntire sits down with ET's Rachel Smith to chat about hosting the 59th Academy of Country Music Awards, streaming live on May 16 on Prime Video. The singer spills on reuniting with 'Reba' co-star Melissa Peterman for their upcoming NBC sitcom pilot. Plus, ahead of her 17th time hosting the ACM's, Reba looks back on all of the iconic moments from her previous hosting gigs.

I am so excited for this new sitcom. I still love watching Reba reruns everyday! If you haven’t watched the Reba sitcom you should! I just happened by it one day and was hooked. That show keeps me laughing and lifts my spirits! All of the characters are amazing but Reba and Barbara Jean have a chemistry that takes comedy over the top! I can’t wait to see what’s next! SO EXCITED!!!😂😂

I have seen Reba in concert two different times and both times were equally awesome. When the host brings up Reba and Kelly singing together, that was the first concert I went to called "The Best of Both Worlds", her opening act was Melissa Peterman.....no words. The second one I went to she came with George Strait....she came out in a taxi singing "Fancy", she got to probably six songs in and starts "Because of You" and Kelly Clarkson pops out of nowhere. The event center went completely nuts.

The shows pilot, "Happy's Place" was filmed so maybe in the Fall lineup. The ACM Awards will only be shown on Amazon Prime Video May 16.

I would love to hear Dolly Parton and Beyonce sing Jolene together. Both women are talented. On a side note, country has waited too long for the inclusion of diversity. Women in that genre are not as included as males are, women of color are even less included. The same goes for males of color in the world of country awards and featuring POC on major country music platforms.

Why would you not even give the new sitcom a chance? Reba and Melissa are like Lucy and Ethel to us. The ACM awards are not on normal television this year, only on Amazon Prime Video.
