My sister was working at a radio station as a traffic director (the person who decides when different ads play). A woman with a strong southern accent answered and told my mother that my sister was away from her desk, and she could take a message. My mother identified herself and asked to whom she was speaking. The woman said she was Reba McEntire. My mother said "Yea right (my sister's co-worker). You got the voice, but the accent needs work." They both laughed and hung up. Later my sister called and asked our mom, "Why did you tell Reba McEntire her accent was fake?"

I just love and care about Miss Reba McEntire so much. She's such a sweetheart tells you like it is. She's willing to help out anyone who needs it. Her songs are wonderful they really speak about ok life and tells stories. I love her movies and her TV show. May God continue to bless her in everything she goes to do to make us all very happy.😁

My dad was a county DJ almost 50 years. He once told me when Reba got a call That she got nominated for an award shortly after she started singing, she asked the person who called her if she could call them back because she was baking and Apple Pie 😂

Yes! I tell my kids, "you wanna take out the trash." Of course we're pretty sarcastic and my son always smiles and tries to say, "no" while he is getting up to take it out. 😅 He knows I'm telling not asking.

Ma'am I think all of that have change , I'm here 8 months now ( migrated to the USA ) and I don't see ppl being nice like your saying about OK , my in law lives in tuddle and Boi no one is nice anymore , but I will say on the street ppl are nice when passing buy or at the grocery stores they do give a smile

Dang... I moved to Tulsa Oklahoma in 2017 in the hopes it would be EXACTLY like she is describing. Unfortunately it is the WORST place I have ever lived and none of what she is describing. Moving out of Oklahoma soon.

@Laura Marie, I'm not surprised. I was born in the 60's and my dad was in the Air Force. I decided I wanted my children to experience the wonderful hospitality, safety and ethics of the small community's I lived in. Regardless of the state, none of them are the same, so I was very disappointed. As the population has grown so much, and technology is great, but it makes kids lazy. I can't name 1 child that works nearly as hard as Reba or the rest of us when WE were children in that era. Sadly, they have so many gadgets, it's hard just to get the kids to play outside & use their imagination, muchless work. 😔

I don’t care for Reba. Her tv show and her music generally puts men in a negative light. Her art portrays Men as stupid and neglectful at best, and woman as wholly virtuous and pure.

Here's the thing.... She sells a bazillion records, and her show was number 1, for 6 years---and I don't think it's ever been off the air; so, I'm thinkin' there's an awful lot of people, out there, who can relate to her songs/show---so, it sounds like, to me, that she's singin'/acting, reality! Are you sure you're not projecting onto her, bad feelings you have about yourself---or, bad feelings someone else gave you, about yourself, so often, you're, now, drowning in them? Just a thought....
