Daniel honors Rebecca Black as a Web Legend, asks her about her life after going viral and invites her to sing “Friday” live.
About Tosh.0:
Hosted by comedian Daniel Tosh, Tosh.0 digs into all aspects of the internet, from the ingenious to the absurd to the downright stupid. Through segments like Web Redemption, CeWEBrity Profile and 20 Seconds on the Clock, Daniel sorts through videos of dumb people doing even dumber things and pinpoints the best (and worst) fails out there.

cellularticulate that’s a very polite way to say this girl has had a few mental breakdowns. But she’s a perfect example of someone who is able to come away from all that. I know someone with her laugh exactly and I can hear the years or pain behind their laughs. They laugh the loudest and it’s so nice to hear because it’s genuine.

that would be awesome, but people forget the hours of labor that go into getting legal clearance to use these videos. I assume comedy central's resources made that a lot easier. if Daniel could get his writers and a small legal team to join him in self-producing the show, there's no guarantee they could even use the Tosh.0 name since CC probably still owns the rights to it. I want more Tosh.0 too, in fact I think self-producing the show would be AWESOME and give Daniel more creative freedom, but its unlikely for so many reasons :/

Lol, it's true though. My friends' band got signed to Geffen back in the 2000s. Did a major brand commercial but Geffen fucked them over so hard. The music industry, atleast before the internet was at the level it is today w/ SoundCloud & stuff, was absolutely brutal.

@@Dang3rMouSe I had a friend, awesome guitar player, his band got signed they made an album. Pretty good album but a very similar band, same record company came out with an album. Record company decided to promote the other band and shelved my buddies album. My friend absolutely kicks ass, but since then he's had a hard time staying in a band long enough to get any traction. I don't know if his experience changed him or what, but 2 of the bands he's been in got a little traction after he left, feel like if he would of stayed they would of took off. It just sucks because he was 19, young and talented, and his record label basically fvcked him over.

Playing a Dick on TV, is just a character for him. In real life he's actually very cool and mellow. It did seem nice that things came full-circle. She got legend status - and he got some redemption, for what probably didn't feel great - when he realized the pain that he'd caused for a pretty nice and sweet young lady, at a time that isn't easy for anyone. I suspect that most of the folks who elevated themselves by attacking her back then, have probably felt some remorse. When Kevin and Bean (formerly of KROQ) interviewed her, a while back, that definitely came across.

Pretty sure thats against the Geneva convention... how many pledges either killed or intentionally deafened themselves? On the flip though, that means the frat had to listen to it on loop as well, no one wins in that scenario... except Rebecca black. Getting all that royalty money from youtube views (i can only assume they went with youtube, as even 99 cents for that song is about 99 cents to expensive)

I don't think that the decision to cut Tosh.O was based on any political bias but rather a combination of many factors: 1. Comedy Centrals (CC) parent company Viacom CBS is dealing with financial troubles at the time 2. Tosh.O doesn't fit into CC's Image anymore. They have been canceling numerous shows with real actors and they are focusing on animated series right now (a fact that Tosh himself "aknowledged" in a Tweet recently). Not only are they really popular these days, they also cost less in production So to me it seems that Tosh.O is a victim of broader changes in the industry. It is interesting to me that all you (presumably) Republicans always think there is an evil liberal Agenda at Play. Jesus get your head out of your ass, aren't you always the ones saying "Facts over feeling"? But before you go nuclear my dear conservatives, i'm from Germany so no democrat either. PS.: Tosh.O could return to Others Networks/streaming Services. Rumours suggest that tosh.o executives are looking for a new Broadcaster right now
