Most movies and tv shows try to make these really bad ass women, and it feels like they are going look at me look at me I’m so strong and badass. When it came to Rebecca she wasn’t the main focus and they didn’t even try to make her overly super amazing, but every achievement and mistake she made was great for character. Without even trying she became the most badass and the most loved character on the show. This is how you write GOOD female characters

The ultimate ride or die in the Cyberpunk universe isn't Rebecca. She's just second place. The first place goes to Rogue. If you count and list out the things she did for Johnny Silverhand, you can easily tell how much she loved Johnny. Even after 50 years when Johnny reappeared in the form of V, Rogue will still throw everything she had built up all her life away and go to on a suicide mission for Johnny when he simply asked.

Rebecca is the only mature and sensible character in the show. Everyone was seeing the road David was taking, she was the only one to take him to the side and say "hey, go easy for a while, ok?". She did everything what she could to avoid losing him, and, when she realized he was beyond salvation, she did the best to comfort and give her friend a "good" closure. She was not David's romantic interest, yes, but she was his biggest friend... not by chance HER death was the last drop in David's sanity downfall.

Before I saw the show I wasn't interested in her because Lucy is more my type. After watching the show just a bit I see she's the best girl who never did anything wrong and she deserved better.

Why do so many people pronounce Pilar's name like "Pillar?" It's pronounced "PEE-lar" not "PILL-er."
